Maybe it's an example of voyeur capabilities.

    • +3

That was the USB CRAPture card :)

    • I thought that thing on the toilet seat cover was a camera.

    • For rear end diagnostics. Compatible with TeleHealth appointments.

A video capture card for a toilet. Sounds promising. OP might want to sort your pics!

How long it will take now to arrive?

I bought something from Aliexpress took 3 weeks and after that I bought something else over a month now still waiting.

    • Welcome to the club. I'll be your guide.

Bought something off AliExpress. I had totally forgotten about it by the time it got delivered.

  • This is a ripoff of Xiaomi, the brand is copied, wow thought it was Xiaomi at first but just a ripoff, don't even think Xiaomi would make video capture cards for toilets
EDIT: Don't mean any harm, the company just had inspiration from Xiaomi, Was joking about the video card for the toilet but looks like one though.

Coupon showing error message “sorry the current item can’t use this coupon”

  • Grabbed capture card

    • Is it a good one?

      • +2

        Works on my SonyA6000, 1080p30.

However, it is an USB2.0 port, to your PC, so dont expect much above 1080p30.

Theres a good twitter thread about these. They are surprisingly good.

      • Not sure. Let you know in a month

  • How do you even get these prices?

I get about ~$44 shipped for the Nitecore charger.

Reported post, OP you better explain how to get the prices or update your post.

  • Prices are a bit misleading, but copped a capture card - hopefully it arrives within a few weeks

  • Do I really need registered airmail?

  • Trying to get the capture card, but there's no option for free shipping?

Rip off merchants, even postal insurance wont help you

  • I just bought a similar (if not the same) capture card from ebay for $17.95, ebayplus express post. The item's title is below. Seller is Simplecom.

HDMI to USB 2.0 Capture Card Full HD 1080p for Live Video Streaming Recording

    • Got a link to this one? Is it anything good and what are you using it for?

      • +1
      • No idea if it is good as I have just literally bought it at the time of posting.

I'm using it to plug in my mirrorless as a webcam and capturing it on OBS. 1080P 30Hz is good enough and at the price, worth a shot.

        • Update: The capture card from Simplecom arrived today and is working fine capturing the output from a DVD player into OBS. Yet to test the Z6 as the input.

  • I'd be very interested if I could use it to feed a video stream to a RasPi for an Ambilight setup.

That'd be completely dependent on the decoder chip inside, and any possible Linux support, but without even being able to see any technical specs on the page I just don't know if it'd work.

    • The device has a 'unknown' chip as referenced here: https://youtu.be/daS5RHVAl2U?t=511 but using it in its intended function 'should' work fine on linux as it uses standard drivers…. But your luck may vary….

  • Four weeks now since purchase, anyone got anything yet? More specifically the AY103 USB Video Capture Card?

    • Nope haven’t received it yet and I ordered mine on the 28th June lol. They said it could take up to 30 business days (which is 6 weeks) but if I don’t receive it by the end of this week I’m opening up a PP dispute

  • Still waiting for capture card too

    • +1

Got an email saying package is ready to be collected from my parcel locker!

      • So how is it?

        • Its really good! I use it to stream stuff from my switch to zoom/discord. Tried a few party games like jackbox and everyone said the video/audio was perfect. I'm still playing around with all the audio options in OBS as I sometimes can hear the game sound twice when streaming for some reason. I'm new to the whole thing and don't always have someone available to test it. Like it could be perfect for me but participants cannot hear sound etc.

I probably wouldn't get it again from gearbest tho, 6 weeks is ridiculously long especially when someone in the thread linked an eBay seller who was selling it for a few bucks more and it arrived in like 2 days.

  • Given covid how long do we reasonably wait before seeking PP assistance? We're now talking almost 6 weeks.
