From Qantas email:

To earn Qantas Points with BP Rewards, you must be a member of BP Rewards and choose to earn Qantas Points.

New BP Rewards members will earn 500 bonus Qantas Points when they successfully join BP Rewards and choose to earn Qantas Points between 2 July 2020, 12:00am (AEST) and 6 July, 11:59pm (AEST). Bonus Qantas Points will be awarded to the Qantas Frequent Flyer account by 17 August 2020

I just signed up and it seemed fairly straightforward.

    Thank you!

says here there's a monthly fee for the card:
    https://apply.bpplus.com.au/qbrlaunch.aspx?utm_source=qantas…

    • For a fuel card, yes.

    • +4

That's for the BP Plus fuel card. They are talking about the BP Rewards card found here https://bprewards.com.au/
      Or through the bpMe app.

  • Any idea what to do with qantas points now?

    • +1

Qantas points aint expire as long as you keep accumulating.
No need to spend them if unnecessary mate :)

      • They do expire if you have no activity in your Qantas points

        • +6

Yes. Install the Qantas Wellbeing app, get a couple of points a day just while walking, and then they never expire as long as you're doing that :)

You lost money in a spending incentive scheme and now you have worthless tokens.

It's at this point you should feel ripped off but you'll probably just continue participating in the scheme where you lose money for worthless tokens.

      • +3

Cool, I'll remember that the next time I go on an around the world trip in business class through my "worthless tokens".

      • +2

You hate what you don't understand.

    500 * $0.007 = $3.50 freebie

    • +2

So my name and email address is worth $3.50 to someone. Happy to sell them a million times over, if that's possible.

    • Wow haven't checked the Classifieds recently, weren't they used to be around 1.1c or 1.2c?

  • I don't have a BP rewards account. Do I need to create a BP rewards account separately through https://bprewards.com.au/ first then use the QFF link from this post?

    • +1

neither did I. It takes care of it in the Qantas link. You enter your QFF info, then it sends you a rewards link to activate and set a password.

      • Cheers. All went as you described.

  • -2

As if QF points aren’t the first thing to go when the airline is forced to restructure. Cash out now people if you can.

  • Done. Thanks. Easy.

  • And you get BP points if you scan your BP rewards card when you fill your tank or buy anything from store. 100 points= $1. You can redeem it whenever you want.

  • is BP usually more expensive than say United?
I've always filled up at United thinking it's been cheaper.
    I use 95 octane.

    • When I do drive, I use the gaspy app - shows the cheapest in your area. Find that can make a bigger difference sometimes than just brands.

      • Gaspy shows all "???" to me in the Sunshine Coast. I use Gasbuddy and FuelMap.

  • Verification link for BP Rewards account creation is not working.

  • How do I see that my QFF is correctly linked to my new BP reward on QFF webpage?
