You’re eligible for a free copy of MCD if you purchased SUPERHOT before the 16th of July 2020 for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, Origin, or GOG. This does not extend to major free giveaways like Twitch Prime, Games With Gold, and similar.

What if I received my copy of SUPERHOT for free?
This offer only applies to copies of SUPERHOT bought before the release.

If you didn’t purchase SUPERHOT, you should not expect a free MCD. Acquiring SUPERHOT through a big free giveaway like Games With Gold, Twitch Prime, Game Pass, or similar does not qualify you for a free copy of MCD.

    So unfortunately looks like this doesn't apply for those of us who bought Superhot VR for Oculus Quest or Rift etc., is that right? Maybe might happen in the future if MCD is able to be ported to VR? Not sure if a VR port of MCD is possible, anyone know about this?

      It only applies for the original Superhot.

      VR versions are a completely separate game.

    Odd statement there, all of those services listed are paid services and I'm sure the developer would be compensated for their inclusion in those. I wonder if Steam users who got it from Humble Bundle count as a "free giveaway" since they normally only have one "big" game per monthly.

      It was a 'big free giveaway', but not a paid subscription service like those they have used as an example.

    Just checked, it’s been added to my PlayStation Account. It wasn’t searchable on the PS Store, but if you search it in your library, it should be there.

    Bought the original xb1 game but never get the free MCD game on my xb1. Made the inquiry to Supershot but no reply. Would never trust this free thing again.
