seems to come with a bonus, "First 100 Customers receive a Bonus 1 Year ASUS Warranty valued at $99"

    • Awesome Lappy but lacks the Netbook feel due to the 2.3 - 2.5Kg…

      Also note:

No GFX considering the weight, 5400rpm & 1 Headphone/Mic Jack, I have seen this with most new ASUS models, WHY the hell would you do that ?, some of us prefer to use only a headphone and only a mic !

  • Add video card in description? Probably an intel

    lol 161 units in stock

    good luck at $400

need to have a bit keener pricing to get rid of a low speed arrandale

Excluding the Lenovos (which were great deals), there ain't that many options at the 400 dollar range, especially an 14 incher. In any case, an Arrandale aint that shabby either.

Anyways half decent lappy at half decent price.

      • Agree, at this price point, this is a pretty good deal for a 14".

But the Lenovo E320 deal is still the better one IMHO.

  • "First 100 Customers receive a Bonus 1 Year ASUS Warranty valued at $99"

So there's a chance at a 2 year warranty, I guess? Who knows if that 100 has already been met or not though.

  • What is the normal price for these

    • They're discontinued, so it's a bit of an academic question.

Up until this clearance price it was $498 at HT.

Good price for a 14 inch. I think it's more worth buying than any of the netbooks.

By the way, Core i3 first gen is actually very fast for day to day work.

  • cheap! :>
    just bought one..
    $10 postage in sydney.. hehehe
    total $406.

    • +2

      $397 + $10 = $406.

      Bargain!

      • Lol.. Postage was $9 something.. I didnt put the cents in.. Hahahha

    • +1

      397 + 10 != 406

  • MSY offers Lenovo a G570-43343PM 15" with i3 cpu, 4G memory, 640 HD and 1G dedicated video card, which seems much better than this. If you go abroad, you get 10% back, i.e., about $360.

  • Harris Technology rarely have stock for these deals - even if they've been advertised. I've also found them to cancel orders. Very disappointing - hence I take anything from HT with a grain of salt.

  • crap…they wanted me to send licence of both side to them for id… even when i payed with paypal verified..
so i just canceled… NO GOOD!

  • Lenovo G570 is available for $389 from MSY after cashback, better specs than this laptop unless yo want to have a 14" screen.

    • yeh i ended up getting the G570 @ Orange IT in Capitol Square today.. $439 - $50 cashback = $389 + $1 for a slide in laptop sleave + $9.99 for a Microsoft Notebook Wireless Mouse 3000 (when purchased with laptop) :)
      total is $450 - $50 = $400 after cashback..

  • g570 does look like a good deal. REALLY want another asus though, mine has been amazing, i treat it so bad but it still lives! any deals going for higher spec asus around?
