  • Apart from finding your own high wattage AC…
how’s the warranty on these? I don’t suppose you ship it all the way back to the USA. Otherwise looks like a decent deal

    • Price match through JB HiFi like OP, let them sort warranty issues?

      • Exactly why I went through JB

  • JB's comes with Operating System Windows 10 Home while the Amazon comes with Windows 10 Pro

You're right, to the guy who bought it price match at JBHiFi, you could of save another $100 if you point this out.

      • +4

Or they might refuse to match because they aren’t identical

        • +1

Not really that worried about Home vs Professional.

Agreed you could potentially point it out but the risk is they decline it

  • Is this the RTX 2060 Super? or just a normal 2060? and this is not Max Q right?

What makes it confusing is JBHiFi description said something about

"Nvidia Geforce RTX SUPER™ Series Graphics
The new GeForce RTX SUPER™ Series has even more etc.."

    Not sure.

    • I tried to look this up on the msi site. It looks like a 2060, not a 2060 super and not a max q.

It should be Super even if they dont state it, this is the 2020 model

    • There is no such model as '2060 super' (maxq or not) on a laptop. There is now 2070, 2070super, 2080 and 2080super though.

The only update in 2020 is an updated 115w variant for 2060, which apparently is NOT inside this machine. This is just a reguar 80W maxq model.

  • What's the warranty like? anyone had any experience claiming warranty with MSI?

    • Not bad, they have the dreaded factory seal sticker but push a little and they are fine

  • Why 240hz panel with only a 2060?

    • 2060 with esports games will easily achieve 240fps on HD medium settings

or you could get this cheaper… 17"/144hz https://www.amazon.com.au/GL75-Leopard-Generation-Processor-…

      Good deal.

The GL and GS serve different segments of the market.

GS66 is a 99.9W battery in a slim and understated laptop that is a little more premium.

      • I had wondered.. good to know, cheers

    • @ry34, This is pretty good, save me around $300 for a larger screen, I only need 144hz screen, not many will reach 300fps on the 2060 anyway, and I'm not eSport person.
