One for the Matthew Reilly fans. The next installment of the Jack West Jnr series 'The Two Lost Mountains' is due for release on 13 October 2020.

RRP is $39.99 according to Pan McMillan, so $22 to preorder the hardcover delivered with Prime is a great deal.

Once again, this is a preorder. If the price does drop before release you'll get credited the difference.

    I love these sorts of books where you don’t have to think too much when you read them. Him, as well as James Patterson, are masters of this genre

      If you like Matthew Reilly you may also like David Gemmell. To me he's like the Matthew Reilly of the fantasy genre and scratches the same itch.

    They have tried. He sold the rights for a movie series… then the rights lapsed.

    Then he sold the rights for a TV Series with ABC. But I believe the rights lapsed again.

    The problem is that The Jack West Series is big budget series… so it isn't something that can be done on the cheap.

  I love Reilly but much more prefer his older more military style novels than the adventure heavy ones. Will still pick it up! Thanks op.

    He is actually someone who doesn't release a huge amount of books. He has said it takes him about 2/3 years to write a book because of his research. Where as other authors don't require as much research (Lee Child for example) that doesn't need as much research releases one each year.

    Hopefully he will be in it. He was in the Four Legendary Kingdoms. SPOILERS>>> though he was injured. I take it as during the Three Secret Cities he is recovering and will hopefully be back in the Two Lost Mountains.

  Last book of his I read was The Tournament.

  It's supposed to be about a chess tournament but all I can recall is how one of the girls decides to go on all these nightly sexual escapades while the other characters get shit done.

    I am pretty sure if you read about it… it says during a Chess Tournament a series of events happen.
