Great price on a great 32GB DDR4 kit with good CL16 timings.

Seems to be around $229 at most other stores.

        • Yeah otherwise the lists of compatible ram would be endless given how many freekin SKU's RAM vendors have for the same ram chips but painted different colours.

  • Really as per the price rate?

      Say again Houston?

  • Would I benefit from this if my performance target is 4K60 with a 2080 Ti and 9900k? I’m currently stuck on 2x8GB sticks at 2113Mhz. Tried overclocking them but that leads to errors in memtest.

    • Going from 2133mhz to 3200mhz would probably be a decent upgrade, especially as the rest of your system is high end, your RAM stuck at 2133mhz is very average.

Will you see night and day difference, not really….. but it's still a decent upgrade in terms of specs from 16GB 2133mhz to 32GB 3200mhz

      • Ok thanks. I see that you updated your post with an even cheaper offer. Is there any difference between the two models other than looks? I believe the Aegis doesn’t have a heatsink? I have an ITX case so the Aegis looks interesting due to its small footprint.

        • They are likely identical ram just with different design. Go the smaller and cheaper especially in itx.

    • You're at 4K, so you won't be as CPU bound and therefore the difference will be negligible.

  • Bought this same kit (well, same model number and timings, so I assume same controller) a couple of months ago from Scorptec. Considering buying another for a total of 64G RAM. This is for a X570 Ryzen 3600 home lab server.

I have read on reddit or somewhere that populating all four DIMMs can cause stability issues on Ryzen systems and for a 64G system you're safer with 2x32 than 4x16. Is that really the case?

Yes, dual rank is hard on IMC and sometimes QVL (not all-inclusive) won't support it. I suggest you get a good return policy, or you know sell it because it's really cheap.

      • Hey, thanks for this info, I didn't know it was a thing and will look into it more

      • How likely is this? I have the same ripjaws in 2x8 config and tempted to grab another 2x8 also on special from SE but is it likely I will lose QVL?

        • +1

You maximize your chances of success by buying the exact same model, just ask with the store if they will allow a return but I really doubt it as it'd be your fault. You can probably ask around if someone else has paired 2 kits together on the same platform as you (e.g. Ryzen 1000, Intel 7000).

          • @Void: np, thanks the advice Rajesh

  • Does SE ever offer free shipping?

  • Im building a mid range gaming pc. DO i need this with my 3600x and B450 or is 16gb sufficient

    • +1

      16gb is enough. 32gb is a luxury.

  • I'm building my first gaming pc and am a total novice, learning everything from Toms Hardware and Premium PC Builds.

I've already bought a Ryzen 3800x from the Amazon sale a couple of weeks ago and just ordered a GeForce 2700 xt Super.

I plan on getting the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra Wi-Fi as the mobo.

Would this Ram be recommended for this build? I'm not planning on OC as that seems too far out of my wheelhouse at the moment but am still looking to run games on high 1440p or med-low 4k.

    Thanks for any help!

    • Would this Ram be recommended for this build?

Yes. Although it's a touch overkill….32GB will last a long time into the future meaning you shouldnt have to upgrade it in a hurry.

  • Argh dupe again.
