  • Oh man I used to collect the minifigs 8 years ago when they were $5 ea. Seems the RRP hasn't gone up much since then.

    • +1

There was a load of moaning when they increased the price by $1 lol. The new ones are better detailed + have more parts so seems fine.

      • Are they still made in China? They were of less quality back then. Does the trick on the back which identifies what's in the packet still work?

        • +1

Parts are made in like 5 different countries now. Tbh the quality of the printing is better than the regular figs you get in sets

If you mean the serial number showing what you'll get they fixed that pretty early

          • @Merlict: The bump codes.

            • @Clear: Yeah the braille thingy is still around, I don't use it though.

            • +1

@Clear: I don't know if it's true but the 'bump codes' are / were only reliable if you knew the codes for that specific batch or place of manufacture.
You can use them to identify like figures in a box in the shop though, but you have to feel the bags to find out what figure is within.

Reportedly the most recent series were all packed in the same order, ie Cinderella is the first in each row in every box, then Donald Duck, then Bugs Bunny etc - that isn't the sequence, just to illustrate. Only useful if you find a newly opened box though. And not true of previous series.

Last time I bought minifigures online I ordered five and got four the same!

    • $5/ea is still too much. I kinda feel like $3-3.50/ea is the correct price-point for these to be a viable collectable item.

Good timing. Just bought the castle.

    • where?

      • +1

        S@h. Just ring em up.

        • But the site says it's out of stock. So you can still get it by ringing them up?

  • +1

    • Hehe Lasted 7 mins I missed it .

  • I had them in my basket, but I guess they ran out

  • ……and they're gone.

  • +4

  • Out the door quicker than a republican heading to Disney World.

If he wants the risk of a visit to the post office for $30 less fees and post cost that's up to him..

        • $30 less postage too… plus the environmental cost of having them shipped to him only to be shipped on to someone else… the world is very strange.

          • @squinly: that’s capitalism though right

      • Bad detective work , this dude has actual pics !

        • Yeah just looks like a regular hobbyist seller

        • Yeah but that'll be someone for real soon

  • Hey OP, how did you come across this?

    • +1

Was just browsing Lego and saw it.

      • Ah got it. Thanks! Was wondering if there was a way to get notified of such deals that I am not aware of. :)

        • +1

You can use camelcamelcamel to set notifications up when prices dip below a certain level. This can be very helpful at times.

Its a Amazon copy of Target some stores still have them in stock at $2 each .

    https://www.target.com.au/p/lego-reg-minifigures-disney-seri…

    • 2-3 weeks back, my local Target has a hard plastic box around each individual figure packet so I couldn’t feel them to eliminate double ups so I didn’t buy any.

Bullcreek WA if anyone wants them.
