Click Frenzy Julove 2020: Tuesday July 21 2020

Click Frenzy Julove 2020 officially begins 7pm (AEDT) Tuesday, July 21 2020

Once again this event runs for 53 hours (from 7pm 21/7 until midnight 23/7).

Julove?

Sales/Deals

As always, expect a lot of deals to be available before 7pm; some are already out.

Follow all the deals, discussion and view participating stores via the OzBargain Click Frenzy 2020 Sales & Promotions page. The Click Frenzy sales page can also be accessed from the 'Pages' menu at the top of the website for easy access to see what deals are on.

99% off 'Go Gaga' Deals

Usually called 'Go Nuts', CF are calling it 'Go Gaga' this event. The difficult and frustrating game, where you must answer a question correctly, the first users doing so 'win' the ability of purchasing phones, tvs and similar for pocket change. They aren't for everyone, quite a few OzBargainer's have won near free products, but quite a few also missed out and it can be time consuming! If you are interested in participating it might be a good idea to subscribe on the Click Frenzy website now. As always we'll update this post with the upcoming prizes when the information becomes available after CF starts, you can also keep an eye on the comments below.

      I don't use instagram :(

      • +4

        Peter Alexander

        • Thanks mate, I'm probably too late anyway haha :)

Not sure if that is essential travel but ok

      • Exactly what I was thinking.

      Peter Alexander

      • +2

was a bit late on it cos i thought they were trying to trick us and just show the outside :(

  • +1

God their "Deals" are absolute s****. The Bose for example, nearly all of those "deals" have been advertised at lower prices on here up to 6 months ago.

I also got a popup for the sony's, answered the q, got an error with an email to write into, wrote in and got back essentially "lol that sucks". No entry submitted. No offer on the product.

    So GG to CF.

  • +2

Apple Airpod Pro deal between 5-6pm

  • +1

Also a heads up - if you receive a text message with a voucher that means that you have won, and you cannot win anything else (regardless of whether you actually buy that item). So you may be the fastest for one of these items, but without knowing you won something earlier.

  • wow this new question is ridiculous

    • -1

I started counting then gave up haha.

      • yeah, when it shows a computer screen it shows up like six times.

    • In the pictures themselves I counted 6

      • In the pic posted a day ago (laptop & coffee mug) it appears on the main laptop screen, underneath the countdown, on the blue bar, on the pink bar and in the tab label.

        • Ah yes. I didn't think to look closer. Was using my phone.

          • @CookieT: Not sure what they count as "featured" though. As usual, ambiguous.

  • "How many times do the words "Click Frenzy" feature in our Instagram pictures? (Don't count videos)"

  • I counted 112, including multiple photos on a post, as well as 2-3x in one post (such as on Gift Cards etc)

    • yeah some of them are spread out across posts?

    • How far back did you go? From the very first time they posted something?

      • +1

Yep, I started from the bottom. 118 now that I double checked the laptop screens etc. Would edit my initial post, but can't for some reason. I submitted 112 so I won't win, but hope I helped someone else here.

        • +1

I couldn’t be bothered going back that far so randomly chose 123 lol - close enough

  • 118

  • No questions popping up for me =S

  • +1

someone negging but not giving their answer? nice! :)

    From the FB Page:

    GO GAGA 99% OFF DETAILS:

    $3 Sony Headphones
    $7 DeLonghi Coffee Machine
    $14 Samsung Galaxy S20
    $3 Apple Watch Series 3

Congratulations to those who have been successful!
Unfortunately if you have not received a text message you have not scored one of these deals.

  • +6

    I won the Sony’s

    • +1

Congrats. What time did you receive your text?

      • 5:16pm. The Sony was the one I wanted least. But least I got something and now we know CF is legit.

        • +3

          Congrats on winning!

They were always legit, but the competition for previous 99% off deals were way more intense and never specified the number ranges for the big ticket items like they've started doing now, so people were suspicious whether there were friends/family of the staff getting the prizes instead.

          • @chorong: Thanks! Also, what do you mean specified the number ranges? Like the number of each item they have on offer?

            • +2

@Phil22: For the big ticket items like iPhones, Macbooks, TVs - they used to throw out questions around "# of clicks", "most popular sub-category" where it was pure guessing, compared to now where it's guessing within boundaries (How many Click Frenzy subscribers were there as of the 20th of July 2020? Hint: It is between 1,250,000 and 1,300,000).

        • +1

I know what you mean about least wanted. The thought of possibly winning a better prize haunts haha! You'll look back afterwards and be happy you won something. When the popup came it took me about 2 mins before I though ah what the heck may as well try for them.

          • @exc3113nce: Think I triggered a couple of people with my comment ahha. But you’re exactly right. The fact that I got the Sonys, bars me from receiving any more texts. So who knows if I was successful in the ones after. Seriously happy with the Sonys tho! Can’t wait for them to arrive.

    • +1

      Got them as well

    • I got the popup, put in the correct answer, got an error asking to email, sent an email, got back basically "lol that sucks" and no offer on the product. GG.

        • Yeah answer is 183. Not going for this one.

          • @exc3113nce: tbh, hope i didnt win cos a tv or a projector sounds a bit better than a kindle. keeping my hopes up that i get the tv but probs not :(

    QUESTION:
How many page views were there on the Click Frenzy website in the first 6 months of 2020? Hint: It is between 19m and 20m. Provide a numerical answer.

    • +2

      just a lottery now

      • only 1m possibilities

      • +3

Yeah this is just guess how many lollies are in the jar, except the jar is the size of a house.

Not the first time we've seen difficult/guessing type questions but this is something else, I mean there are 1 million possible answers. So it's more than likely they'll give away 0 tvs, unless they still just give it to the closest people? In which case it's not so bad, although there is still 0 skill involved. We'll never know the answer to that I guess.

        • I mean, I'd argue this one has more than a million possible answers. Someone managed to win the phone so I reckon they'd do the same and give it to the nearest answer.

Also - the description of the TV in the email suggests it's a commercial TV (fwd-65x75f) rather than a consumer TV (KD65X750F)

          • @chorong: Good point.

However, we had noticed that their FAQ no longer mentions the usual 'accuracy first, speed second' clause. So we're wondering if they are still giving prizes away to the closest answer. It could be unrelated, but they did re-do the FAQ and remove that wording.

      • +1

click frenzy mods, i know your watching this and just wanna let you know that i love you and if you happened to send me a 65" SONY TV, i would be very appreciative.

        • Cheeky devil!

        • hey click frenzy, if you're gonna send ptxlemy a TV, please send us all one as well while you're at it, we'll give you a pass for this year ;)

    • this… is impossible to answer

      • +2

in fairness, when giving out a $1.5k tv, you dont always want to make it easy to win

    • +1

We'll never know the answer to that I guess.

so they're still not being transparent about answers?
is it so hard to burst out an email to everyone that answered🙄

lack of transparency was one of the reasons i stopped last as it wasn't engaging

  • +1

Oh well, was hoping i’d be in with a chance as I have handover of my house on Fri and a tv is one of the few things I don’t have. Tried lots of googling and ended up pulling out a random number like i’m sure everyone else has. Good luck!

      Adairs

  • It's another "head to our livestream on instagram" I find it funny that they're based in Melbourne with stay home lock down rules in place, yet this is the second time they've gone outside for their competition. Surely they could have thought of better questions.

  • Lol I was waiting for the trick like the switch to another shop at the end , although I think I watched behind everyone else

    • So was I haha. They did the same thing when it was the MCG. They slowly panned and stayed on it. Thought they would be sneaky and switch.

    QUESTION:
How many Click Frenzy Members are eligible for Frenzy Bucks this event?

    A: 1000

  • How long is the turn around for if you are successful or not via sms?

    • They've just put a post on their FB to say that if you haven't received a text for yesterday's items, you haven't been successful

    • Someone won the headphones yesterday and got notified by text message around 5pm.

EDIT: as above - they just posted all the text messages have been sent out.

  • Tried to enter the answer and phone number for the Skateboard and wouldnt let me click to send the answer??

    • That happened to me on my Mac safari. Works on iPad safari.

      • I'm on PC and have already answered other questions, but this one wouldnt accept it…annoyed

  • Does anyone know if the “speed” component is based on when the pop up notification comes up or after you press “answer” to type the response?

  • As per FB posts, following items have been awarded already..

We've finished sending text messages to the lucky Click Frenzy Members who have scored themselves one of these 99% off 'Go Gaga' deals:

    $7 BenQ Ultraportable Projector
    $3 Ring Video Doorbell 3
    $3 Nintendo Switch Lite
    $4 AirPod Pros
    $3 Sony Headphones
    $7 DeLonghi Coffee Machine
    $14 Samsung Galaxy S20
    $3 Apple Watch Series 3

Congratulations to those who have been successful! Unfortunately if you have not received a text message you have not scored one of these deals.

I hope some Ozbargainers have won as well

    • -4

i bet no one won anything, just a marketing gimmick to get everyone interested.

      • A lot of us has won items in past so I don't think it's all gimmicky… I do wish though they would have more transparent process and questions which does not require us to just randomly guess.

        • Like others said, this is more of a lottery and lucky draw than a competition.

      • I won the Sonys, so not a gimmick. Only the best items are lottery based. The rest are knowledge based and very attainable if you’ve done your homework or if you’re quick enough.

      • Nah not a gimmick. I've won something from 2/2 of these events I've participated in. A bit of preparation and research helps

        • +1

I think you can definitely win the smaller items (as they're generally easy questions). The bigger ticket items are generally random guesses these days. I miss the older ones when even the big ticket answers you could work out the answer for it was just difficult.

  • Head to our Instagram live feed! What is the name of the retailer that we are going to?

    A: Forty Winks

    • I hate when you try to type when you're nervously awaiting hahaha.

  • How fast did everyone get their answers in? How many minutes remaining?

    • +3

Got my answer typed in within 3-4 seconds of the camera locking onto the shop sign. I was hesitating a bit just in case the camera decided to pan and show another store…

  • I've been waiting on the Click Frenzy page for the last hour, no pop up for the iPhone competition! Is it over? I have all popup and ad blockers off, I'm signed in to the website, I even had the stand mixer pop up perfectly fine earlier today

Is that it, do I just miss out on my chance because of this bizarre web design? Is there a link I can type my answer into or something :(

    • +1

The iPhone question popped up about 30 minutes ago sorry, as per the previous comment by scrimshaw.

Are you logged into Click Frenzy? Otherwise not sure what the issue is.

      • I sure was, had it open in Chrome and Firefox to be sure.. Just unfortunate I suppose!

  • When do you find out if you've been successful in todays comps?

    • By text message, their fb page tells you when they've sent them out.

  • +5

Just got a text message saying I won a kindle. I don’t think I would ever use it, but for $1, I may as well get it. Maybe gift it to someone.
