  • Is this a sound investment?

  • the very best ANC phone for commuters,,, not one of.

  • Bought one for $100 a few years ago when DJ nearby was closing down.

    • Someone is jealous. Negger, get a life

  • better than over the head headphones?

    • Same ANC as the QC25 so it's up to you if you prefer in ear or over ear.

    • I have both qc20 and qc25, qc20 is noticablly better than qc25 when blocking low frequency noise, e.g. on bus or train.
      qc25 seems better in office.

  • These are incredible. I have worn them while camping at a very loud music festival and they blocked out the noise

Yay for the wires! The massive inconvenience automatically gets the tick of approval in my books.

Better ANC than wireless…depends what you're after.

    • You can get Bluetooth adapters for not a lot of money.

Probably still about $100 too much IMO.

They need to sooner or later with more devices dropping 3.5mm. Expect to see a USB-C and Lightning updated model soon to replace these.

      • No they're the last of their kind. There is only BT from here on. Why would they waste money on developing lighting or USB-C when audiophiles gravitate towards better cabled offerings? Bose is for the un-corded masses.

  • Anyone tried these with a motorcycle helmet? I have the QC30s but believe they have larger ear pieces.

    • I was thinking they'd be perfect for that. They look slim enough to be comfy without pushing against the inside of the helmet.

  • Problem with this is: more and more manufacturers moving to USB-C only (especially Samsung) and you need to get a good USB-C to 3.5mm dongle for it (extra thing to carry around). Probably the main reason for the price drops.

Not to mention the battery pack is atrocious at EMI shielding. If you leave it on anywhere close to an EMF source, you'll get considerable noise when no music is playing. As long as you keep the battery in your pocket or somewhere insulated, then comes out fine.
