$39 and $69 Smart Covers for iPad 2 at Dick Smith Free Shipping

270

It's only a $6-$10 saving, and it's still quite expensive for some, but these never drop in price. It's a good deal for people who want the genuine Apple product and wish to save a couple of bucks.

$39 is for the polyurethane ones and $69 is for the leather ones.

I bought one from apple for $45, It is a good deal, + from me, but to be honest, you really don't need to buy one if you can get a screen protector like SGP screen film, I have my smartcover removed from the ipad2 most of the time…

    • It also functions as a good, lightweight stand. I've currently got a Canvas case and it adds about 400g to the device, bringing it from about 600g to 1kg.

Would prefer to spend 70 bucks on a proper case

Yeah, I've got a proper case, but it adds a lot of weight to the iPad. I'm not sure if it will even protect it if I drop it.

  • Screen protector and leather case that doubles as a stand on a desk can be gotten for same price - check out Officeworks

  • Apple products = rip-off.

Well designed, good function, but $40 on sale is too much for such a product. They over-value their designs/products, they think they're god's gift to form & function.

  • I dropped my iPad2 smashing the screen - I am a clutz, thats for sure, and was left holding the cover staring at my face down ipad hoping that wasnt the click of death. It wss.

So, they dont offer much (any?) protection, but they are handy for bypassing password protection on IOS5

but then again, so would a fridge magnet.
