  • No politics, but isn't that Huawei phones do not come with Google apps anymore? Asked as an iPhone user.

only newer ones after P30 series I believe
My mate 20 pro has everything

    Mao is gone?

    • +1

Yes but unfortunately Dick Cheney, Bush, Trump, Obama (used to think he'd be different but he made mass surveillance worse), etc are still here.

"Porsche Design" is next level wank.

    • These were usually their "ultra" tier phones for that generation. I don't know what this one does, but for example the porsche edition p20 added wireless charging to it.

If it's mate 20 with that price tag, I will buy one. Mate 10 is a little too old. For that price you have many options.

    • Mate 20 is Kirin 980, Mate 30 is Kirrin 990, this is Kirrin 970. It was released 6 months before the 20 Pro in April 2018.

Thanks OP. fully support no politics in this community, especially on electronics…

If Porsche happy to holding hand with Huawei why we are afraid? I thought everybody loves Porsche

    • Porsche design has nothing to do with Porsche cars?

Deal it is not that great, but you get a + because of this.

Mate 10 is nearly 4 years old. Way too pricy for that phone and it’s fragile as hell. I had the mate 10 on launch and lasted 3 months. A small drop with a case and glass screen protector destroyed the internal lcd. Do not waste your money on this.
I bought an iPhone X after that. I have no case dropped it from much higher surfaces and only have cosmetic scratches on the metal. Build quality is leaps and bounds superior to Huawei.
This isn’t to promote Apple by any means. But more to inform of the poor build quality of Huawei. Specs are only one aspect of a purchase.

I respectfully disagree. Still using my Mate 10 since launch (November 2017, so nearly three years old, not four) and have dropped it on bitumen in the thin gel plastic case it came with. Just a scratch to the side. Also just got Android 10 on it. It has lasted much longer than my last two Sony Xperias (Z1 and Z5).

  • +1 for the pushback on the invariable anti Sino comments every time a Chinese manufacturer is posted

(and despite having it in the description, you still got a few)

  • Just got a mate20pro $599 at Harvey norman, very happy with it, needs a strong case

Pretty alarming choice to be ignorant in here lol Nothing wrong with being informed about a products and manufacturers background. I prefer free range eggs over caged, cloths not made in sweatshops, and companies that don’t exploit workers and these are all active parts of my buying decision, and I appreciate members comments about issues other than just price. It’s just the legitimate flip side of all the posts about product x or maker y donating part proceeds etc that no one ever complains about, despite also being just politics and marketing.

Way old. This would have been a deal in 2016

    • +2

The Mate10 was only released in 2017 but I guess your point still stands.

      • Haha, would have been awesome in 2016 then!

Yeah either way, it's a tad old. I wouldn't want to buy anything older than the P30 line today but that's just me.

It’s not mate 10 porsche design, it’s mate RS porsche design, better than mate 10 porsche design:
40M triple vs dual camera, under display finger print, better resolution and better front camera.

But comparing with mate 20 pro at $599, I will suggest Mate 20 pro.

    • Sorry Noob here, Wats the main difference between between this phone and the mate 20 pro at HN? I am leaning on buying mate20 pro but worried about reports on green tinge on screen

  • Does anybody know how to contact this seller besides having to use Kogan's messaging system (as that requires you to purchase first)?
