Nyko NES/SNES Mini RF Wireless Controller $9.98 @ EB Games

400

Just picked up one of these in Brisbane. Looks like there is still stock around.
Works on NES and SNES Mini, Wii and Wii U.

Good reviews and works well.

Only one mistake in the instructions on a NES/SNES mini. Ensure you hold down turbo and select for 3 seconds to get back to the main menu.

Pitty they don't allow delivery on these given that Melbourne is in lockdown.

  • Thanks OP - grabbed one to use on the "kids" Wii U

    • Do note that the wireless receiver uses the same plug as a Wii Nunchuck controller (which inserts in both the Wii Remote and the NES/SNES Mini Consoles).

In short, you’re hooking a wireless controller into another wireless controller, which hooks to the Wii U console.

      • Interesting, should be ok as I'm mainly looking for an alternate to using the wheel on Mario Kart - seems like a bit of a funny way of working though.

    bought one for no reason

Not much stock left. Only store in Melbourne’s east I could see that has stock is Chadstone and I ain’t heading there.

    • +1

Chadstone doesn't have any, or at least once you select it it shows no stock. I tried buying from there when the deal was first posted

      • Oh. It was showing stock for me but I didn’t attempt check out.

Good luck to anyone that can find stock.

  • Lots of stock in Brisbane still.

      conmputers? what are they?

  • +1

There's stock in stockland wetherill park.

    Comes with free Rona.

    • -1

      What is Rona?

      • +2

        Cona's cousin

  • Can I use this with a PC/Mac to run emulators?

    • +1

No. It has a custom connector.

      • Thanks.
I'm looking for a lowcost controller to play NES/SNES games like MarioBros/BattleCity on PC. Any recommendation?

      • Yeah was looking at that and saw it uses nes proprietary connector. Was looking to use it on raspberry pi4

  • Sweet my local has it but is a hotspot

    • -1

      Bonus.. free covid.

    • If it's a hotspot you'll be able to test it online straight away on your Wii U if you bring it along 👍

  • For the Snes model, just note that it does not have a home button. So when you connect to the snes classic mini you still have to get up to reset game and go back to home screen

  • Does this come with an adaptor to make the controller connect with the main unit?

    • +1

      Like physically?

Wireless connection is through a dongle.

    • +1

Dongle is included. It is wireless.

Purchased the last one at my local EB Games store in Sydney. Even though I already have 2 of the 8bitdo Retro rerceiver for NES/SNES/SFC classic edition bluetooth adapters. Its nice to be able to play these consoles wireless with an original styled controller. Given the short length of the cables that come with the supplied controllers. Especially the NES Classic.

  • Any idea if it works on the switch?

    • Doubt it since you can't plug the wireless receiver to the switch.

  • I have two of these for my SNES mini and they work beautifully.

Does this work with Tesla Model 3 games?
