Even at this deal they are still overpriced compared to actual rrp in USD.

Comparing the Aputure AL-F7 that retails for 98USD, but can easily be had for 139 AUD on Amazon aus stock quite regularly.

Generally I'd say the F7 is the more practical and long term solution to get. Much higher brightness, removable battery, cheaper, still has bi-colour etc.

No doubt US get better prices. Still this is the best oz price I have seen.

F7 is a great light but serves a different purpose. I just bought the MC because of RGB to use as accent lighting. Yes would be good if had removable battery but has some nice features with magnets, app (colour picking) etc.

      • True. I've bought one also, it does have specific features which are useful, apart from the obvious rgb functionality.

I would find it hard to justify the MC for most people if they are using it simply as accent lighting. Within the context of accenting an entire shelf you potentially need as many MC's as there are shelves, plenty of youtubers are using it this way, but to buy 5 or 10 of these for that purpose seems fairly impractical. Unless you're filming regularly as your job.

        • You're applying a random example as an argument against the MC as a whole or any users possible needs for the light. They are different lights with different feature sets. Choose the one thats fit for YOUR needs.
