    Free delivery promotion is only until the 1st October so I'll certainly be living it up while it lasts!
    After that I'll see if there's any use to the $5 codes for me if they're delivery only :)

    Getting coffee delivered for 13 cents tomorrow morning and could probably have done better but oh well XD

      Pretty sure they are all one restaurant. Address for a heap of them are 342 brunswick st, fitzroy which shows up as blackout lounge. Been there once using 1 for 1 gold and the food wasn't great.

              @hamza23: They didnt deliver to me and took the money and claimed as a missed delivery because i didnt pick up my phone even though no-one rang the door bell or knocked and my whole family was at home waiting for their dinner.

                @lonewolf: That's weird. The driver should still attempt delivery regardless. Menulog have called me once to verify the address after the delivery is already made :p Did the driver try and call you (mobile) or Menulog verifying address (landline number)?

                  @hamza23: Yes I was shocked. So the driver apparently rocked up, called my mobile but my mobile wasnt on me at the time and my whole family was at home waiting for dinner, so i figured he would ring the door bell or knock or something. Nope, nothing, he left WITH the food (took it back to the restaurant or for himself), Then Menulog tried to blame it on me saying i didnt pick up the phone. I said When you deliver food to a house, YOU ring the doorbell or Knock or something. And even still, why did he take the food back, at the worst case scenario he should have left the food and left if it was still going to cost me money.

                  Since then they started to realise they were in the wrong and said i can have a refund but even thats annoying as that doesnt address the fact that my family was waiting for an hour or so before we realised there is something majorly wrong.

                      @itsfree: yeah i am still taken aback, like it makes no sense. Why would you go up to the house with the food and not try to ring the door bell or knock or something before leaving with the food. Its almost like he never showed up or he wanted to keep the food… I am also not sure if this driver is one of the restaurants own drivers or menulog, He may have been the restaurants own ddelivery guy.

      I’ve had a call before to confirm that I still wanted an order made for the following day. It was just one particular restaurant, as never happened with other restaurants before. Or they’ve called when the restaurant doesn’t have something I ordered anymore, and asking if I would like an alternative or cancel.

        Yep. Turns out it just wasn’t working on one store (local Sam Churrro) even though it’s not on the excluded list. Tried another nearby store and it worked.

    Ordered 3 potato scallops and a pineapple fritter for 58 cents for 6pm. Am going to be unable to take the "verify delivery address" call which always comes because it will be at like 5:30pm or so.. hopefully this doesn't take back my delivery time or anything.

    I find it truly amazing how I have to input my address in to see my restaurants, verify it when I'm ordering delivery and then get a phone call where I have to physically tell them my address AGAIN.

      Got 2 calls today for the verify delivery address, asked them about it and they said it should be fine if you don't pick up. YMMV

        Not sure what the point is of an online ordering service when they want to call you.

        I'd say that at least it is keeping someone in a job but given the experiences I've had with Menulog, it's probably someone offshored out of Australia.

        I have been finding menulog orders get cancelled on me about 40% of the time these days, really annoying when you are trying to organise dinner for the family.

          I think they have been having trouble finding drivers during the peak dinner time – I'd have thought they would have recruited more drivers to cover these two major, heavily-advertised promotions lol

            @itsfree: My orders seem to get cancelled by the restaurants and then they sometimes suddenly refuse to accept any more orders via menulog (no idea for how long), Other times it gets cancelled after the promotion period is up so then i cant actually use the promotion for another order.

                @Jumpup: No the order was confirmed, Sometimes its confirmed by the restaurant and then 30 minutes later it got cancelled. Other times i had ordered it several hours in advance and its confirmed then about 45 minutes before delivery they cancelled it.

                The other annoying thing is menulog charges you straightaway so now i have to go back and see if i got all my refunds and keep track of which orders were refunded and which ones came through.

      Thankfully my orders have been confirmed on the day of order for next day delivery- only had one cancellation this week (and received a replacement $5 voucher too)!

      But all my deliveries were later than requested time, on average 20-30 mins.
