Luxor Linen sold these for $19 in this deal, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/551907, but it's probably unlikely you will see them at that price again any time soon. Too much money to be made out of the pandemic. However, it still seems reasonable compared to all the other deals currently posted and going by the responses from the previous deal, shipping is pretty quick and the quality is acceptable. Too much money to be made out of the pandemic.

…lets just think about that statement….humans really are disgraceful

Can a get a cheer for capitalism?? Isn't it great…

      obviously sarcasm

    • +2

Can you prove that these are price gouging? I know a few suppliers of face mask and during the pandemic they have been resorting to being gouged themselves by the manufacturer, as well as having to pay high freight fees due to the time sensitive nature of the product.

    • +2

The really disgraceful ones are the ones selling "fake" masks

You might say that they're masquerading… as legitimate suppliers.

  • Bought these from eBay for $14.80 originally and $14 after Amex Shop Small cashback from MyDeal.
    Talk about price gouging

    • Is eBay included in Amex ShopSmall or is MyDeal included?
How to find out which online stores are included in Shop Small cashback?

  • +1

Price gouging isn't something I support but I've read the comments for the past deal and it seems people on Ozbargain were largely satisfied with the quality of these masks overall.
I'm not sure whether or not I'd purchase but at least the quality of these seem a little better than some others.

    • Interesting comment. Can you enlight us why this mask is little better than others?
What techniques did you use to determine good disposable mask ?

      • I haven't tested personally but others here have said that these masks they got for $19 last time passed the 5 tests

    • Agree with your point with price gouging. Another problem is people broden-ing… is there a better of the 2 evils? :(

  • +2

Unfortunately the price point combined with the arrival time does make it a valid purchase.

I just wish I went out prior and picked up some suitable, washable ones.

But if you think they're expensive, just think about how much we were all paying per ml for dettol.

  • the poor will be recongised by their non mask wearing

    • They'll be poorer once they get a $160 fine then

      • +1

It’s a $200 fine, or did they decrease it?

        • +1

They did save $40 from not buying masks…

      • Only if they pay. Court gonna order unemployed, addict, homeless to do what during a pandemic? Public transport ticket inspectors walk past vagabonds.

  • Made in Taiwan?

According to Amazon, the OPs deal arrives next week. Yours arrives in October.

      • Cool - there are a number of suggested items that are shipping soon as well for a lower price than in post. I already have a 50 pack so did not really look carefully. Looks like masks are the next toilet paper !

        • I saw a lot of the cheaper ones too, but couldn't find one that shipped as quickly as this one. They were pretty much all being delivered in Sept-Oct. I also figured that due to a lot of sellers offering poor quality masks, it was good to find one that has half decent feedback from ozbargainers.

  • Also on eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50Pcs-Disposable-Face-Mask-Prote…. Were $22 a couple of weeks ago when I bought.

  • By 3-layer, they mean 1 layer.

  • Costco has 50 pcs for $46 the other day.

    • I actually went to Costco Adelaide to get some of the MediHealth ones that were listed on OzB previously, but they only had some other brand which clearly didn't look any better than these. Way too expensive for the quality IMO.

  • Anyone still waiting on their order to arrive? My tracking seems broken and no updates since 27/7

    • +1

Got mine a bit over a week ago

      • Thanks. I’ll follow up with the seller and Auspost.

  • These are now $15.50 with free delivery.
