  • Is this the same model? $779 at Centre Com

      That's the non-super model

Excellent. I thought it was strange. Thanks for clarifying!

  • Honestly I think the Galax 1COC going for $749 frequently at SE has a better cooler, VENTUS is MSI's bottom of the barrel. I have their AMD equivalent, the MECH, and it's loud and hot.

  • I grabbed this one 2 days ago, however was on sale for $879

Nice mate, I actually had that exact model in my umart cart and have been waiting to see if prices fell. Happy with the MSI in the end, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the Asus too!

      • Installed it last night, it's bloody huge compared to my rx580 - deffs happy with it :)

The Ventus is the bare bones fans/shroud model, complete with no fan stop at idle. Buyer beware, because you're being taxed for brand loyalty with this card.

Galax equivalent for $759 delivered, Inno3D version (with fan stop) for $775 delivered.

Ampere announcement likely in the next 2-3 weeks, with founders edition cards rumoured to quickly follow, but I wouldn't expect more than a 2 month wait for a 3rd party model of a 3070.

All of these prices are at or above MSRP for the 2070 Super, let alone the 2070, so if you have a functioning dGPU or iGPU, just grit your teeth and get a substantial upgrade in graphical quality for your patience.

The Galax might have fan stop too, I can confirm the 2060s 1-Click OC does

      • Oh really? That's a nice change from them.

^ my comment but more detailed.

  • Just waiting someone shows up to said you can buy a 2080ti card performance/price when the new 3000 series comes out for the same amount of cash #letsdream

keep holding your breath - I'm waiting till hell freezes over cuz with ever accelerating global climate change won't be that long……

  • ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER OC Edition, 8GB - $850

    OR

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING OC 3X 8G Graphics Card @ $859…

Anyone able to assist between the two?

Or should I just grab one of the circa $750 deals?

    Upgrading from a 1660Ti (selling for $350)

    • Keep your 1660…

    • Where are you finding this?

ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER OC Edition, 8GB - $850

      • I ended up grabbing a brand new one off gumtree for $800, sold my 1660ti for $375.

2070s is fantastic, gaming at 2k/75hz with everyone maxed out

The 2070s strix is huge though 😂

  • Drop to 738.65 with After Pay code now.

Still not the best price but good for anyone wants a 2070 Super right now. Heat & Noise seem to be the major complaints if that bother you…

  • Any idea how cheap 2070s might get?
    Is 600-650 too optimistic?

    Tossing up
    A) waiting for 3070
    B) jumping on a cheap 2060s
    C) waiting for the 2070s to fall to 2060s levels

    • That is the normal 2070 this is the 2070 super version

    • this one is around 5-8% faster, equivalent to a 2080

  • I have this one, can be a bit loud, but I play with headphones anyways, so doesn't bother me much.
