    Crazy price

Reading the comments on the listing they seem like Fake Apple Airpods. Buyers Beware
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07ZQC2G9X#customerReviews

    • +1

Reviews are for the product, not for the specific seller.

  • +1

These look to be fake from the Amazon reviews (and the product page).

  • Is this legit ?

  • Do these work with Android?

    • +1

Yes they do but the experience is not as complete as on IOS.

I have a Samsung note10 and its… ok. Better with an apple phone.
Note that these seem to be fake however.

      • +1

Thanks. After I posted, I noticed all the comments about these ones being fake. So probably don't work with Android if they don't work with Apple ;)

        • +1

Chances being fake would work better android :)

However if you dont need to the noise iso, the Samsung Buds plus seem to be an excellent Android option.
They are regularly for sale on FB market place or Gumtree. Dont pay over 150 for them and make sure they are the plus version

  • Comments says it being fake

  • Reviews definitely pointing to these being fake. Note the Amazon themselves aren't stocking these in this particular listing, they merely fulfill the order.

    • +1

so it's no risk either way, at worst your money is on hold for 1 or 2 weeks

  • A few reviews suggest that they might be fake

  • Has anyone PB from OW?

    • Keen to know this too.

    • -2

And that, my friend, would be a true OzBargainer!!!

    • -2

Am I the only one who feels it is unethical to get a legitimate store to price-match an illegitimate listing knowingly?

      • -2

        Somethingsomethingofficeworkshavenomoralsscrewingyouoversoitworksbothways.

Wouldn't do it to a decent or small company.

        • Officeworks implements an exceptional pricematching service, you abuse it, and then you claim it goes both ways?

Since when did the size of the company affect morality?

          • -2

            @Chewiebacca: I haven't abused it.

I have seen them hide stock when they don't want to pricematch though.

They have done it to me twice. I have never actually received a pricematch. I gave up after their shenanigans. After my experience I wouldn't think twice about screwing them though. And I'm not the sort of person that screws businesses.

            • +1

@justtoreply: Sorry to hear it hasn't worked out for you. My experience has consistently been great, and many people on OZB clearly have success with them, otherwise they'd have a terrible rep.

I'd opine that the reason businesses clamp down on their pricematching policies is precisely because of posts like this i.e knowingly trying to get them to price-match fraudulent listings. Sure, some people get lucky with an employee on their first day and walk out with a steal, and some get the manager who knows otherwise. If it's a legitimate pricematch that meets policy, they certainly should be called out for it, but increased skepticism must likely be a response to people attempting to rort the system.

  • fake???

  • how come only 12 months warranty not 24??

    • how come only 12 months warranty not 24?

Apple AirPod Pro have a 12 Month Warranty from Apple Australia (and internationally).
You are probably thinking of the Australian Consumer Guarantee. Which can be for 2 years (or more - depending upon the initial price of the item).

  • reviews said this is fake from seller but you could try to buy then return if its fake

  • I read Amazon comments it says they are fake.

  • May be fake !!!

    Fake is not a bargain

    Air Pods Pro…bably fake

  • "Stored, packed and ship by Amazon", seems strange. I never saw Amazon stock fake products before. It is fulfilled by Amazon.

  • has anyone ordered?

    is to 100% fake????

  • Just Ordered then cancelled. Can't be bothered going through the process for return if fake.
Rather not get it in first place.

    • But then it may pay off and you might get a real one if you are lucky

      • Just doing a pricematch with Officeworks now. Which I know that will 100% pay off if they accept it

        • let us know if the accept it

          and send receipt also pls

          • +1

@eckers19: Bugger, the sale reverted in pricing.
So I could not do it. I reckon it would of worked if it stayed a couple minutes longer at $248.99.

            • @mr chow: So U didn't get it

              • @eckers19: No I didnt because as the lady was looking at the Amazon price, it reverted to $348.

          • @eckers19: Yes even I want to know. Thanks

  • +2

You can just return if you find it is fake and report to amazon, worth a shot, amazon has the best return procedure.

    • That could mean the $250 one sold out. I ordered and cancelled one LOL

    • Nope, back to special price

      • How much now?

  • The seller was MiratraCo, 230 reviews with 97% positive. I think they were legit. Oh well, too late anyway

    • I reckon you get it, Its on that price

  • Many people ordered it,
But Amazon is saying it's not eligible for Amazon Prime now

    • because its OOS from that seller

I love how people here at OzBargain still don't seem to know how Amazon's website operates.

Reviews are for the product. Not the seller. This product has many sellers. The reviews claiming they're "fake" could be any single one of the sellers. Amazon doesn't tell you. So even if Amazon AU themselves were selling these directly from their own warehouse; the reviews will still say they're fake.

It's a flaw, but it's just the way Amazon works.

Same goes with people up in arms about pricing changes. The sellers all go into one pool, the cheapest one is displayed. Once that seller runs out, it jumps to another seller at a different price, and if it's an Amazon AU sold product, it also has dynamic pricing. They'll sell a couple, then algorithm changes the price constantly until they're gone and their next shipment comes in, which will also be a different price again. It's not an ideal system all round, but when you can get a good deal; it usually is a very good deal. Just gotta be fast.

    • +1

Should also mention that Amazon co-mingles stock, meaning it receives stock from all the sellers that it fulfils for, and mixes them up under the assumption that it's all the same thing anyway, and then fulfils them at random. You can't guarantee that the ones you receive are the ones that were sent in by any particular seller, meaning fakes get mixed in with genuine product.

It's a bit of a crapshoot, but like others have said Amazon's after-sales service is second to none. If you can be bothered with the hassle, but for prices like this maybe sometimes it's worth a shot.

Ethically… well… somebody out there is obviously trying to pass fake product off as real, and taking advantage of Amazon to do it. Does that make Amazon complicit? Best not to think too hard about it. Don't like? Don't buy.

  • WTF? so fast gone back to $350 lol

    • Amazon gets fake sellers every now and then. This could be one of them they listed for 250. The 350 is different seller selling them.

  • They are back to $248

  • How to check whether it is original or fake?

  • I once bought a set of fake AirPods. They were almost an exact copy. Physically they nailed it (a lot of fakes are fatter, but these were spot on).

Unfortunately I didn’t know they were fake, and paid genuinish price for them :(

    Careful guys.

  • Now that's a good price. Although I paid cheaper and hardly use them anymore.

  • Can someone who bought the AirPods Pro please update all of us on whether the AirPods Pro you got was real or not?

    • It's legit, serial number checks out, shame that I forgot to use cashback but still better than the eBay frrenzy :)

      • So you actually bought it and it just arrived and its legit?

        • yup delivered within 2 days, serial checkout, warranty signup without problem

  • +3

Received my 3 sets about 20 min ago. All the serials were legit and all were Australian stock.

Thank you every one that negged this deal and left stock for the rest of us.
