How is this a bargain? You haven't even tried the damn audiobook app.

Because apparently any free ebook (that was 99c) on the App Store is a bargain now.

      • And do you and how many of those who voted for your comment own an iphone? Remember we can read your past history here… Move on troll

        • I would say the same of a similar "free" ebook on the android market. But I haven't seen any posted here.

Haven't read/listened to this specific 7 x of x but I did read one of the other 7 x of x books and it was quite good, perhaps not something everyone would want to read, but I found it useful and well written.

  • I saw a lady reading this book on the train about 5 years ago on the way to school. For some reason i noted the name of the book down. Apparently it's really popular… but i never got to reading this.

Funny how i was thinking about this book a week ago for no reason..

And HOURS of listening to the audiobook! :) Even more so if you put some dot points under each of the seven headings so we don't have to read the book even. Hey, what a great idea for smartphone app — a little ebook "Executive Summary" of the Seven Habits.

I must declare an interest — I bought that book years ago and a audio cassette program to go with it. I have to say that it was very good but not life changing, but that's likely my own fault. ;)

Is a book really necessary for 7 habits?

I would only require half a page to write down seven things.

  • I suppose free is good, but I found this book ineffective.

I like this comment by Emily from San Fran:
    "zzzzzzzzz…"
The book might be a best-seller, but the audio presentation is mind-numbing. I tuned it out after 30 minutes. Unless you're on a lot of Ritalin, this will bore you to tears. Buy the book and skim it — at least that way you won't be forced to hear all the boring anecdotes that support eaching sub-heading. On the other hand, if you're an insomniac, I think you've just found your cure to quick and deep sleep!

  • Thanks for the tip. I'm actually going to get it just to listen to it since we actually used this book at work to identify/drive good behaviours. That being said it was highly tailored and delivered in an interactive format with smaller groups but it'd be interesting (from my perspective) to read the book (or listen to the audio book). And hey, it's free. Thanks.
