if it had a TB3 port, would have been perfect for me. At $2,251 for the cheapest model, it's still pretty damn pricey imo.

these deals definitely dont come up often. Microsoft store and Harvey norman has the same deal

Microsoft store has cashrewards although not sure which % the surface book comes under

    • Looks like 1.5% cashback on the Surface book 3. Better than nothing. The Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro X and Surface Laptop 3 are boosted at 4.2% at the moment.

These are high margin premium devices

You're probably better off going elsewhere unless you need / want the form factor

I had a Surface Pro 3 previously and now I am using a Surface Laptop version 1 from work. Good devices but I would not recommend them for home use. You can't change the battery, though in this release you can change the storage device i think. Out of everything the battery is the most important component to be able to change.

My Surface Pro 3 is 4 years old holds charge for about 30 minutes. And I can't do anything about it. My Surface Laptop is just over 2 years old, and charge is already ~60% of what it was originally. It will probably become unusable in another 18 months like my Pro 3. And I can't do anything about it.

It's annoying as if I could change the battery, it would be perfectly fine. Even my 8GB i7 pro 3 is powerful enough, but the 30 minute charge is too much of a problem to work around.

Is it me or did they jack up the price when AUD fell 1-2 months ago, then just ignored that AUD rose back up?
