Is this per policy ? And does anyone know where it is mentioned on the Suncorp website, wouldn't mind checking to see what the eligibility is.
Still waiting for them to return the proportional % of my insurance and/or adjust the premium due to a significant reduction in car usage during COVID.
It's pretty amazing that they can keep the excess profits during this time without an action from the government.
Same goes for the health insurance industry.Would say similarly I'd expect rego or at least the TAC component in VIC to have been decreased.
Yet nothing. I see rego(incl.TAC) at $800~ being a pretty big hit to families even if they do half yearly payments
Rego is not an insurance charge. You pay Rego to VicRoads.
I used to complain about the TAC component of registration, but after being involved in quite a bad accident late February they have been super supportive.
It may seem like a fair amount to pay, but if you ever need to utilise it, it is a small price to pay…
And would you tell them if you used your car excessively more potentially putting up the cost of your premium?

Fairly naive, but I would like to live in a society where people (and firms) are actually honest & fair with each other.I actually discussed this with them when I recently renewed. Not only that my premium didn't go down due to lack of use, it went higher despite not claiming or having any rise in incidents in my area.. I was pretty much told that it's not going to happen. Bottom line, if they can do what they want, they will.
So if I have an existing home insurance with Suncorp, I can call them to get discount on premium(partial refund) and also get $100 WOOLIES GC?

$100 is incorrect. Not generally available
I had a good chat with Suncorp representative who stated they could only offer discounts on renewals or new policies. As my policy was not ready for renewal as yet, I was able to only obtain $100 GC and received it this morning.
