    E.l.i.g.i.b.l.e. I.t.e.m.s… .

    • Good for some…I s'pose

      • +2

Already seen some price jacking though sigh

        • +6

The trick is to look for something the stores forgot to jack the prices ;-)

  • +3

I’ve often benefited from these deals, even though they’re significantly difficult to find, so thumbs up

  • +14

The last line of those terms is a bit odd…

"Prank sombody with the fake Windows 10 upgrade screen which never ends. Open the site in a web browser and go full screen with the F11 key."

Someone at eBay copy/paste the wrong thing?

    • +2

WOW, this just made it deal of the day!!! free Prank should be a separate deal for that.

    • +5

Further proving how much of a joke eBay sales are.

    • +1

Yeah I just saw that too. At the bottom of this T&C page in case anyone's interested.

If you google that line with quotation marks, it seems to randomly appear verbatim across the web.
      How weird.

    • +3

LMFAO eBay is so sloppy at everything

  • +9

Man ebay codes these days as so crappy, remember the old sidewide codes and not its "eligible items"

    • +2

Yeah I always used to come here to find that sneaky 3% sitewide code that changed every couple of months.

      Good times.

    • +5

I recall ozb members complaining about 3% and 5% off sitewide deals because of the regular 10% off sitewide sales. We certainly were spoiled by eBay

      • Correct Me if I'm wrong the only time I purchased on eBay sitewide I'm pretty sure it was 15%.

That's a bargain, all these eBay deals that pop up on here just seem like advertising. Hence I never bother with eBay sales.

The next time I post in this thread will be a proper bargain, maybe next lifetime 😂

        • 10% off sitewide definitely had some great bargains especially if you bought off private sellers.
Even 5% off sweetened the deal.
I’ve purchased a lot more when they had these deals.

          • +1

@FireRunner: Agree, I believe there is no special invitation or extra seller contribution for the 10% and less codes, hence prices should be what they normally sell for.

Nothing I'm watching is on offer. Why make me looking through my whole watch list!? Total waste of time!

  • +4

    Another trash eBay “deal”

  • +25

Made a list of the actual deals here:

    • +1

Thanks mate - did some fruitless eBay searching but your list is much easier to work with. eBay have really excelled themselves with this one…

  • Don't shoot the messenger, then dont be the messenger haha.

    • +3

If at least one person benefits, it serves its purpose :-) I did make some savings several times from these 5-10% codes, they are less artificial than the 15-20% codes.

      • well said. I've found an i7 zenbook from computer alliance, approx $100-200 off.

  • +1

I found an actual deal, as I've been looking for an active smartwatch.

Seen the Garmin sales on JBHIFI and Rebel, but found it cheaper through the Ryda eBay Store.

Bought the Garmin Vivoactive 4S @ $484.96 [RRP is $579]
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garmin-Vivoactive-4S-Black-with-…

    • Ryda don't seem to participate in the 15-20% sale codes (their alter-ego No Frills does that), so prices are their usual prices, no price jack that I see.

  • +1

Ebay plus renewal is coming up. Seriously thinking of cancelling…

    • +1

If you renew, remember to threaten to cancel before hand to receive your $30 coupon. You receive it once they take the renewal fee.

      • +3

don't get sucked into it. still not worth for $19 a year.

        • The $100 airpods said otherwise. I get pretty good value from eBay plus personally - but I get the hate for ebayplus

  • +1

For anyone interested, the store titan_gear is selling the Sony WH-1000XM3s for $329.33 with the discount code PIN4TECH if purchased through AfterPay.

  • limited sellers who hiked up their listing prices

    • +1

I am sure Ryda do not hike prices above their usual. The All Phones' Mavic Air 2 example above was not jacked either (can tell from the Revision history).

  • +1

Officially let my eBay plus lapse, just can’t see the $49 of value anymore. Started out great!

  • +1

I wonder what idiots are running eBay?

They could have been a similar size to Amazon, but no, they seem to want to run it into the ground.

    • +1

…ummm… they were much bigger than Amazon until recent years. I suspect they are still more profitable than Amazon AU. Agree with your sentiment though; buy most our stuff from Amazon over eBay these days :)

  • +3

All crappy deals in the past 5 weeks. We need no restriction 20% sitewide.

  • +3

Yesterday I cancelled my eBay plus - there's just no value anymore, they offered me $30 credit to stay, but nah…. (very happy to pay for Amazon Prime though!)

    • +2

      So true. Prime is awesome.

    • +2

You should not be out of pocket for EBay Plus. The trick is to cancel then wait for them to offer you a $50 voucher to join again. I did.

  • +3

I think the days of sitewide ebay sales are long gone.

  • Wonder why Kogan case hasn’t been used against eBay selected sellers yet for price jacking ?? Btw, I have been so much happier since I cancelled my eBay Plus last year and haven’t missed it at all !! Bye bye EBay ….
