  • Warning! it can be stolen from your ears

    • I didn't know that

      • you didn't know you have ears?

        • Have what? Guys, what am I missing out on, tell me!

    • Care to elaborate?

  • +1

The sound is fantastic out of these but the fit hasn't been very good in my ears. I keep having to adjust them to stop them from falling out, I might switch back to IEMs that fit my ears better with a bluetooth adaptor.

    • The fit isn't bad, but not amazing. Anyone recommend some after market tips?

      • I moved off some IEMs that fit super snug so I guess i felt some massive difference. Hopefully I find a way to hold them in my ears better.

        • I have these and can recommend them. The fit is great due to having to compress the foam before inserting in your ears and the foam expanding to fill your canal. It's snug and doesn't fall out when walking.

The noise cancellation is better too due to the fit especially if you were using the clear rubber tips for hygiene reasons.

        • Anything in Australia?

    • +1

      What are you using? SE215's?

      • Yup, those things were like glued into your ears.

    • Yeah fit is pretty good imho, but due to the weight of the things they tend to come out while wearing them

    • same. absolutely awful fit and same for my brother who gave it to me. Its just sitting unused on a table somewhere now…

  • Hope we will see them around their all time low before the end of the year

  • I just wanna say these headphones are awesome. I use mine daily, the sound quality is great and the noise cancelling is decent. I have even had phone calls on them with no complaints. Battery life is amazing.

My only gripe is you have to use the left ear bud, (unless I am doing something wrong) you cannot just use the right one.

I also bought a skin for them from Dbrand and whilst I did not get it on perfectly, I recommend getting one as it protects the case and makes it look cooler.

    • +1

Thanks mate. Not being able use a single bud at a time is a deal breaker for me.

      • +5

You can definitely use them independently. Person above probably has an auto pause feature on for when you remove one bud.

        • Thank you :)

        • hmmm my left one works fine on its own, but if i just pull out the right one my phone doesn't connect to it?

          What am I doing wrong?

          • @zarbicore: Try completely unpair and repair it. Put both buds in your ears before pairing.

Also, try googling for people with similar issue and see how they fixed it…

    • +2

I am able to use one at a time. if you put an earphone back into the case it pauses whatever you're listening to, but you can either change the settings (tapping the left ear piece just cycles through the NC settings) to pause / unpause on both sides or just press play on whatever you're listening to and it will start again.

      • Thank you :)

  • Are these $200 better than the Sound peats bluetooh 5 buds? I have the sound peats $40 and they are fine.

    • An unfair comparison but obvs yes, heaps better. This has more features and undoubtedly better sound.

    • +1

Nah it's only $199 better. No deal.

    • I haven't heard of these before, are they good??

      • Good enuf for me. I am not an audiophile though. Just use them around the garden or gym. Occasional use with TV.

  • I've been using these for a while. I really like them, but they can have connection issues in places with a lot of wifi stuff going on (like my office in the city). That said, I think that's something we'll need to live with until they start using some other type of wireless technology.

  • +1

I have been using them for months now. The sound is fantastic but the Bluetooth connectivity, fit, and microphone are really poor. I now use Galaxy buds as well for all the aforementioned reasons.

    • +1

As someone who receives calls from the owner of WF-1000XM3, have to agree it's pretty rubbish in busy environments… "mate use your phone not the in ears"

      • Not just rubbish, it's completely horrid experience on the other end. Picks up every single sound from around them, cars, winds, doors opening, bells and whistles. If you're going to be making lots of calls get the airpods pros.

      • you should see if they've updated the firmware, I noticed a significant improvement; before they were unusable for phonecalls and now they're decent. I've not been on the other side but I asked people how i sound now vs before. Used to sound like a robot standing on a busy bridge, now it just sounds like someone using bluetooth.

    • Agree 100%. Whilst the sound quality is good I would not purchase again for those same reasons.

      • any alternatives with better mic and similar sound quality?

        • Galaxy buds, airpods and the new Google buds have a much better mic and the sound is excellent too.

    • Thanks for these comments - saved me purchasing as need good call quality.

  • No way I was just looking at these today

  • No volume control is a deal breaker for me.

    • I think that was added in one of the recent firmware update

      • Thanks. However I just read below which means to use volume control on the earbuds instead of the app you will sacrifice another feature. I myself use google assistance a lot on the WH1000XM3 and would prefer to potentially still use it on these.

"You have to sacrifice quick access to one of the WF-1000XM3's other features — be that the noise cancellation toggle, digital assistant summon or playback controls — in order to easily adjust the volume. "

        • +1

Okay so I just had a look at mine, the buttons of the left side and right side are independent, so you can still set one side as Google assistant and the other side to adjust volume, the only thing that would prevent me from buying this again is the fit for my ear, otherwise it's pretty good

      • It was added a few months ago.

  • Have had these for about 6 months now. Mostly used for taking calls and the phone call quality is great, no complaints from the other end of the call. i can quickly switch between phone and laptop, but I can't switch to a third device without pairing again. Seems to be limited memory to 2 devices. Also cannot use right bud independently.

  • Biggest dealbreaker owning these headphones were that they cannot connect to two devices simultaneously

  • if my phone only has bluetooth 4.2 and the earbuds are bluetooth 5.0, what am I missing out on? Is it just connection reliability?

    • Range, battery life. These wireless buds don't implement BT 5.0's dual audio feature.
Considered AirPods 2 are essentially BT 4.2, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  • Sound quality on these is insane, they are my first set of wireless in-ears and I am in love. The case is very aesthetic, but not very hardy - already starting to scratch up but it isn't a dealbreaker for me and I would recommend them.

  • These or Pixel Buds 2 or Galaxy Buds +… Read too many reviews and have no idea now.

  • I have android phone and according to reviews i should be chasing earbuds with aptx codec. But I have found only 1-2 models with aptx for some reason.
Should i be chasing aptx buds or will other buds sound similar enough for everyday users?

    • I doubt aptx would sound any different on an ear bud. If it's a hifi system with big speakers AND you are less than 40 years old with excellent hearing, then yes. APTX ftw. If possible go for bluetooth 5 though.
