Been thinking about these even though I have an android device. They seem to just work. Have a knock off Chinese pair I am testing can't even pair both at once.
Was also considering the Jaybird Vista wireless Sport for $275..
The airpods seem to fit my ears ok even if they don't block out much noise, not many other in ears work for me with the rubber tips but The Jaybird with The loops just do I think. I've heard the Google buds are disappointing and expensive.
I also use an android device, I would recommend these. I have the airpods and the highly rated sony wf-1000xm3. While the Sony wins in terms of features, i find myself using airpods more since I can pair with more than 2 devices and they feel more comfortable in the ear.
Can I get your reviews on call quality in a noisy environment? Is the person on other end able to hear you properly or they get lot of ambient noise?
And which of airpods or sony wf-1000xm3 fair better in the above scenario?
Call quality is very good on both, I have asked for feedback from my callers about the quality of my voice and they said it was very clear, they thought I was speaking directly on the phone and not a wireless headphone.
In terms of ambient sound neither out-perform the other. I've taken calls in a noisy server room and other time while driving and the caller said that they cannot hear the background noise. However other times I've been in a loud shopping center environment and the caller said it was hard to hear me, while another time in the office the caller could hear the conversation on someone sitting 2 meters away.
It seems to be able to filter out background noise that is not 'voice' while it will pickup 'voice' sounds quite clearly even it it is not your own.
