good phone, great price. Seems like everyone is dumping single core processors. Still way behind android and iOS though with functionality. But greatest feature is how easy it is to learn and use. id buy it for my girlfriend. Doesn't know her gigabytes from her wifis. :P

Must have been a different ebay that I went to because most of the ones I saw have actually sold for around $200 or less. I figure when it comes time to sell I won't make any money but conversely won't lose much either.

I considered buying this handset at the start of the year, attractive and feels very nice in the hand, great camera. Shame there's no upgradable memory, or video call camera, but it's a great phone.
note, there is a way to upgrade the memory.

I'm pretty sure there's a microsd card in it but the OS uses this card for some files. If you just replace the card, I don't think the phone will work. there's a bit of stuff about upgrading the memory but it might be more hassle than it's worth…
You can replace the card, but you must perform a factory reset afterwards for the phone to recognise the new card. The phone will work fine after this.
Just ensure you get a card that performs well, no issues with SanDisk C4 16GB here.

I can't possibly bring myself to buy it at $240 in store now that I know you guys can sell em for $168 online
I got this phone free via work and while I'm still sticking to my iPhone, it's actually very good especially after the Mango update. It's fast, intuitive and works well.
The downsides are:
- terrible battery life (worse than the iPhone 4).
- camera isn't great.
- Limited Apps and also more expensive than Android or iOS counterparts.
Didn't realise you could upgrade the internal memory. Gonna rip mine apart and upgrade it to 16 or 32GB!
FYI I called WOW and they sell this phone for $240 in store (wouldn't match the online price though), so you can still get a very good phone for a very good price.
I looked at a Telstra shop last weekend and they were still selling for $500+, so it's a great deal.
Can you tell me if they will sell any more of these at that price?

I emailed WOW yesterday and got a response today stating that the item is on back order and will ship within 10 business days.
I thought we were buying stock that was on-hand, or at worst case landing on 26/10 once the 'backorders' were enabled … 10 business days seems like a mighty long time

However, the stock was supposed to be 'landed' here the day after we ordered, so all this time is internal/local distribution & shipping rather than any international delay
I got my shipment notice email today, coming from QLD. I purchased the first batch before it went in and out of stock.
I emailed wow and asked if more will be coming and was told no :(

Mine got shipped today too via AusPost eParcel.
I got an email today saying: "At this stage your order has been processed and is awaiting dispatch upon arrival of your item.". So it sounds like those who bought when the backorders were enabled weren't for stock arriving the next day after all, but for further stock as it can be sourced.
Mine shipped on Friday by TNT and I just received it now (in Sydney). Certainly glad not to have paid the sticker price that's on the box I received - $696 - ouch!
Was it sealed?
Yep, it was sealed both with the original sticker across the bottom of the box and with security tape around it (along with a security tag on the box too). Certainly doesn't look to have been opened at all though does look like it was sitting on a shelf previously.
I'm still cut I dilly dallied too long to get one. Bah!
Mine just got shipped today - I was in the group who placed their order when backorders were allowed, so I guess the second batch is also being sent out now.

People that received it already is there any branding on the phone such as Optus/Telstra software etc?
There's Telstra NextG branding on the phone and the Telstra NextG splashscreen appears when turning on the phone. There's a couple of Telstra apps included by default but they can be easily deleted. I'm using it with a 3 SIM currently and no issues being experienced so far.
Are people still waiting for their phone to deliver? My package is still at Brisbane (Im in SYdney) and it said the proposed delivery date was yesterday, 2/11/11.
btw i opted for TNT. fail so far…
Bloody hell WOW & AusPost, both fails.
- WOW sent it to my billing address (my sister's apartment block) and not my actual shipping address.
- AusPost left it on the ground in front of the mailbox of the apartment block which is outside near the street.
Thank god my sister just happened to walk past, saw a parcel on the ground and recognised my name.
Would have been pretty annoyed if it had been pinched.
oh and 3. AusPost eparcel site is still not updated to say its been delivered.
FAIL.
