  • Wtf is level 2

    Can I level up?

    • +1

Yes 100 pushups, 100 sit ups and 10km run everyday..

    • Level 1, 2, 3 are the classifications used for masks intended for Australian medical use

The same ones are available in Chemist Warehouse for $30.

  • These are legit surgical masks. I see them in many hospitals, although usually with ties not loops.

Level 2 indicates the level of fluid resistance. Useful in surgery where blood may splash. Not so useful in day to day life.

If they are any more useful for covid than the cheap surgical masks, I do not know.

    • +2

Yes, I got a pack of ProShield Masks and definitely very high quality.

If you do a quick search on ProShield, you'll notice that they produce various types of hospital grade masks.

  • Is there more specifications and any industry approval information regarding this mask brand?

  • Must be some heavy masks. $15 delivery for metro Sydney.

    • they send each mask separately

  • Health Professional here. Been our staple mask for 10+ years.

  • +1

These masks are used in hospitals. Level 2 generally used in emergency where there is mid levels of exposure to fluids, while level 3 used in theatre with higher exposure risks. Level 2 is sufficient as the minimum for droplet precautions. Quality is excellent, super soft and breathable. Good price on the masks but shipping kills the deal.

  • No supply issues with this type for healthcare workers? When it comes to N95s, seen stories over the past few days suggesting more are needed, yet the pet store I buy rabbit hay from had a side hussle selling ProShield N95 50pk for $150, and my local Woolies is also procuring and selling N95s (3 for $15).

    • Mind naming the places selling them?
