Extracted from link above — "Choice verdict:"

1/ Its performance is good for a liquid, and it’s very convenient so it may suit busy people who want minimal fuss and always wash a full load.

2/ However for the majority, it’s not cost effective or versatile enough as you can’t adjust the dose as needed.

3/ And you can get much better results using the powder equivalent at a significantly lower cost.

not sure how busy a person will be that he/she doesn't have the time to scoop powder out of a box?

That's like omg, i'm too busy to wait for the coffee to be made.. just funnel the hot water and beans down my throat silliness.

i did this in a true ozbargain style, went to big-w when the omo powder (huge 30L tub) is on offer, bought it with the amex card offer ;)

after that, it's done! I don't have to waste time shopping for washing powder for the next 12 months!

Out of curiosity, what do most people use? We have the Omo Powder for most clothes and Dynamo for others (like dogs blankets etc)

    • i add vinegar to the 'softener compartment' for bedding and towels.. liquid dynamo is good, but i think it's too expensive.. and doesn't seem to make a big difference compared to omo. (i dont own a dog, so not sure how bad it can be.)

      • what does vinegar do?
        whats the $rrp anyway?

        • i find that vinegar can replace your softeners…. and on top of that, it removes the stink from towels quite effectively. i find that softeners often just covers up the smell, and doesn't really address the issue.

        • @slowmo you mean like sweat? Cause I use some of my towels for the gym and sometimes they don't wash as well :(

    • I did link the coupon to the thumbnail haha…

      I use omo's powder though… I think it's cheaper.

    • Omo powder. About 1/4 to 1/3 the recommended dose does a good job in my machine.

Coles had these at half price last week with no limit, I bought four tubs.

I use liquid as I find powder loses its potency after a relatively short time, who knows how long it sat on the supermarket shelves.

These pods are great as I can set my machine on timer so its just finishing a load as I get up in the morning ready to go on the line before work, if I use normal liquid I have to start the machine straight away and clothes stink again by morning.

    • I don't think detergent's lose their potency on the shelves, I sort of understood the whole Coffee Snobs and their beans but really?! Detergent Snobs?!

      • I don't think detergent's lose their potency on the shelves

i remember seeing Choice mention somewhere that powders absorb moisture sitting around on shelves.
