$20 off (No Minimum Spend) @ Shopzero » All Comments

  • +10

Wow, they really screwed up today…

    • +2

Right now they are hoping this site would collapse.

  • Or SHOPATHOME for $30 off on orders over $300

  • +2

nope, minimum total is 150 spend with this code. it seems like an accidental to issue codes to push up sales, do you think?

    • Yeah, I’m seeing a $150 minimum too

    • +2

They've offered the same $20 off on $150 before on other price errors. Can't really trust this site.

  • +7

Thanks OP just ordered a free bluetooth adapter https://shopzero.com.au/electronics-and-office/computer-acce…
Checkout with < $150 trick from previous deal still works

    • Thanks . ordered

    • +5

I was able to order a Sandisk 32GB USB

Admittedly I will feel guilty if this one goes through.

    • thanks. Got 1 as well.

    • whats the trick>?

  • +9

What even is that site? Seems dodgy

  • +3

Can't get it to work following the instructions. Says minimum $10 spend

    • +1

Read the instructions again. Works fine for me.

      • Tried for a Lego set that was $23. Anyway too much effort. Tried a few times logged in and not logged in

        • +2

I've updated the steps with clearer instructions, hopefully it works for you now.

          • @bluggort: I'm guessing the no payment info required comes up only you if you purchase something exactly $20?

            • +1

@sub102: Oops, forgot to mention that. Yep, that's correct - only on items exactly $20.

              • @bluggort: So it means this works only for items priced $20

  • Must be a new way of “free” advertising.

  • They canceled my gerni pressure washer, says out of stock.

  • +4

I have a feeling these orders are going to get cancelled also.

  • +5

Cheers OP. Instructions were spot on . Ordered with no minimum spend.

    • No drop down menu for me - do you need to be registered? What browser?

      • +1

don't have to be registered. Chrome

  • +4
  • +1

    any good items under $20?

    • +3

You know that they will not honour anything you get for 'free'

  • +1

I dont want to use the three payment methods for $12.00 for a Memory Card - is there a work around that I can pay with PayPal?

  • +4

I keep getting these at step 2. not sure why
    Shopping Cart
Subtotal must exceed minimum order amount
    Minimum order amount is $10.00

    • +2

Remove the coupon. Do the hack to click the cart dropdown and click the Checkout link. Go through the guest checkout again and look very carefully at the screen that displays the no payment message. I missed it the first few times.

      • Got it thanks!

  • +1

What happened to PayPal payment? Has it been disabled on their site? It was available this afternoon, Strange.

    • +4

      they are dodgy as…

    • Lol yes just realised this when trying to get the Lego set for $3. I paid with PayPal for the Gerni and the other Lego set I posted this Arvo. I guess the site is meant to be a Layby like site so PayPal doesn't really make sense.

  • Worked for me, got the $20 LED bulb
    Subtotal $20.00
    Discount (SZSORRY17) -$20.00
Shipping & Handling (Free Shipping) $0.00
    Grand Total $0.00

Very curious to see what excuse they will invent now to cancel this order

    • +1

well, they can simply say you have not paid a cent to them lol

    • +1

They will say that you haven't spent the required minimum of $150!

      • That sounds logical

    • Did it attack you
      - attempted to breach our Purchase Terms and Conditions by actively circumventing our minimum cart value? :)

  • +1

not sure if they are going to honour this time, but better not spend extra on top of $20 if it works for you

  • worked for me, lets see if its cancelled

  • +2

@OP: I think steps 5 and 6 should be inverted.

5.Go back to cart and remove the code before repeating steps 2 and 3 - code should still be applied
    6. Repeat step 2 and the payment option should say 'No Payment Information Required'

    • +1

      You're right, cheers! Fixed.

  • +4

Seems a bit unethical to be posting 'workarounds'

Either way, they'll definitely cancel these orders too

    • -2

What's the point of being ethical to unethical businesses?

      • What makes this an unethical business?

        • -4

          What makes this workaround unethical?

This site is known for cancelling orders.
Too many "pricing errors" and apology coupons with minimum spend(that is not mentioned anywhere in the apology email).

"Unfortunately the Gasmate Meridian Area Heater (AH2063) is either not available or temporarily out of stock. We have cancelled this item off your order and will process a refund of $40.00, today.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please also accept this $20 coupon code from us for your inconvenience."

Also, very conveniently they removed Paypal from the payment methods

        • +3

Their RRPs are super jacked up. Check their Lego prices. Most are around double RRP.

If we're being really honest, any of these 'buy now pay later' type deals are mostly to take advantage of people with low financial literacy. Not always, but mostly.

      • -1

What did they do wrong that they deserved to be called unethical?

        • -5

Too many "pricing errors" and apology coupons with minimum spend(that is not mentioned anywhere in the apology email).

"Unfortunately the Gasmate Meridian Area Heater (AH2063) is either not available or temporarily out of stock. We have cancelled this item off your order and will process a refund of $40.00, today.

Also, very conveniently they removed Paypal from the payment methods

        • Looks like there are a few members who loved the apology $20 coupon with minimum $250 spend

  • This has a limit of being used 2 times

  • Easy - Thanks Op!

  • Minimum order amount is $10.00

  • Did it but I doubt they'll honour it.

  • -4

With the recent chapter around Gerni, I am pretty sure they have crap IT guys. Not to mention this coupon (if generic) follows the same trend.

A business should not suffer from some idiot IT guy creating personal voucher which by some work around comes as Generic code.
Not worth putting a business down (by workaround). Specially during these times.

    • +1

Lol. I feel for all the neggers here on my comment. Helped retract my neg vote to the deal.

  • Worked for me. Excellent instructions! Thanks heaps

  • +1

I wonder if stores will start to disallow referrals from ozbargain? Here we have a coupon clearly meant as an apology code for people who didn't get the gerni deal and it's been reposted to ozbargain. This is kind of why we can't have nice things

  • +1

32gb usb stick $20.00 ordered so works for me see if they cancel it?

    • Ordered the same USB, let's see how it goes lol

  • Voucher code appears to work on multiple transactions.

  • +14

Need to take this down before everyone gets nothing

    • Lol! Comment of the day!

    • YEA! Take it down before they realise!

  • +2

I guess OZB is helping this business test it's e-commerce solution. Hope they fulfil - Lets not get too greedy….

    • -1

There has already been more than 1000 clicks. if everyone bought a $20 item. That would be $20,000. I really doubt it they would honor it.My guess is they would only honor partly paid items

      • +2

Their T&Cs allow them to cancel for technical issues or with an example of pricing errors.I think the partial payments would still be cancelled due to the checkout loophole as they mention

        Minimum Order Value
The minimum shopping cart grand total that is required to proceed to checkout is $150 after vouchers and discounts have been applied.

I think we're outta luck on this one as the checkout loophole is a tech issue.

  • +2

Works, thanks OP. Note: Removing the code is important in Step 5!

    • +1

Fancy seeing you anywhere but the OIJ livestreams.

      • LOL!

  • +1

Waste of time when they'll just pull another cancellation

    • +3

They will cancel and give another generic code. The fun beings again.

  • +6

wow the steps worked to literally "shop zero"

    • +7

and when they cancel it, it'll be "shop zero (items)"

      • lol i feel that will happen.

      • +9

        Ship Zero too

        • Lets see as Zero notification so far on the status of order.

  • -4

Thanks for sharing. Perhaps delete post to give those who have used a chance of having the order accepted?

    • There's already 1500 clicks, what difference will removing it now make?

      • +4

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” – Dale Carnegie

        • +1

          Well said

    • lol nice try

  • +1

Ordered a UGREEN HDMI female to female adapter
    $20 is definitely a ripoff
But ok if its free :)

    • IF you ever receive it…

  • -15

OP i have ordered what I need so please remove the deal so it doesn't get overloaded and cancelled.

    • You should be ashamed of yourself.

    • IF you ever receive it…

  • +1
  • +1

who would buy from this place normally?
there ps4 stuff is expensive. Lego is pretty steep also

    • +2

That’s the reason they are called Shop Zero

  • I accidentally found out a quicker way ( so you dont have to enter your guest information twice)

    1. Add desired item into cart
    2. Go to the top of the page, click 'Shopping Cart' drop-down menu and then 'Checkout'
    3. Apply coupon code "SZSORRY17"
    4. Repeat Step (2) to get an error of "Subtotal must exceed minimum order amount" (This step may not be needed)
    5. Cancel Coupon
    6. Repeat Step (2)
    7. Checkout as a guest and enter your personal information
    8. The payment option should say 'No Payment Information Required'

    Cheers

  • -6

If you hadn't given those steps they might have honoured your purchases. you've (profanity) yourself and any others that figured it out on their own.

  • Well I'll definitely feel guilty if I get something for free
    Maybe I'll try a $30 item.

    • They've removed Paypal and there's no Credit card options either. I have no idea what those other payment methods even are if I'm being honest.

The code seems to have exceeded '1000 uses' now anyway.. lulz

    • -1

Username doesn’t seem suitable for your personality

  • Coupon has been used 1000 times and now no longer works.

  • Your coupon was already used.
It may only be used 1000 time(s).

  • Coupon already been used 1000 times so it’s already cooked.

  • +3

now we know that out of 2000 clicks, 1000 made a purchase using that code

  • Got error message: Your coupon was already used. It may only be used 1000 time(s).

  • 1000 more emails to send out for them now and a few dissapointed peeps

  • Your coupon was already used.
It may only be used 1000 time(s).

  • Party is over guys.Coupon can't be used anymore

    • +2

There never was a party in the first place.

  • "Your coupon was already used.
It may only be used 1000 time(s)."

is what I get now! Hahaha!

  • -10

watse of energy and time, pathetic site and coupon, they didn't even care for to filter the coupon for the people who ordered pressure cleaner earlier..

    • +3

      Chill cuz, why so agro?

      • -1

I'm not angry bud, don't worry, everyone's order going to get cancelled ;)

  • +1

Staff are going to have fun cancelling 1000 orders on Monday… At least $20,000 worth of Shopping Zero(tm)

    • +3

most of the $20 items are around $5-$10 elsewhere, and probably cost them lower to purchase lol

  • They just lose 20k for this.

    • +4

      No they didn't.

  • +3

Ordered a $27 item cat6 extension cable (which is a bit overpriced) for $7 using afterpay

Code will become SZSORRYSORRY17 once they cancel these?

    • +1

      SZSOSORRY17

    • +6

      SZSORRYNOTSORRY17

    • got my item too

  • +3

No one's getting whatever they ordered under this promo code either but I am really happy they get to cancel another 1000 orders….! Negging here because it's not going to be honoured!

  • +1

i'll accept their apology if they sell the water thing back at $30 minus this $20 voucher.

  • -3

I had requested to refund my money with interest. Just wanted to give them trouble as they gave us 😂😂

    • +2

      Hi Daya,

We are more than happy to assist with your request for a refund plus interest. Per your request, we have deposited your money into 5 year term deposit at 0.20% interest p.a.. Upon the maturity of the term deposit, you will receive a full refund plus any accumulated interest. Please be advised that breaking the term deposit is subject to a break fee of $100.

We will contact you again confirming the refund once the term deposit has matured.

Thank you for shopping at Shopzero.

      Regards,

      Wayne Swan.

      • -2

I didnt ask u to deposit my money as term deposit. I am asking u to refund my money with interest for the days that u kept. I have not recieved my money in my account yet. You are shameless and giving ur customer trouble. Good luck for ur business
        Regards
        Daya

  • +4

    Waste of time this mob.

    • +3

Yeah so better to give them their own meds… Waste their time.

  • +3

    is this a game?

    spam

  • Waiting for Cancellation again… next coupon will be SZSORRYSORRY17

  • -9

Code doesn't work for me. Is this an ad?

    • You do realise this deal was marked as expired 10 hours ago

      • -11

        Then why are you here?

  • +1

The rep on most if the items is ridiculously high

  • -1

Order confirmed for me. $20 USB

  • -3

    Code not working anymore.

  • Obviously going to be cancelled, but my potentially free $20 50cm USB extension cable only took about three minutes to order so worth the chance.

As others noted their pricing was ridiculous anyway. I literally bought two 2-metre USB 3.0 extension cables from Scorptec on Friday for $10/ea (click and collect).

  • -3

I paid an extra $12.00 for a Memory Card - my cash rewards have tracked and they have accepted the payment. Will be pi$$ed if they reverse it and do not send the goods.

  • +1

Funny how desperate we all are to get a bargain. Everyone who paid extra not using PayPal has now signed up to some sort of credit service like Afterpay and probably stuffed their credit record.

    • +1

There are a lot of Buy Now, Pay Later services that don’t leave a mark on your credit file.

      So why the fear mongering?

      • +1

        Does afterpay?

        • Yes they do.

Not sure about initial account sign-up but they do disclose repayment information to credit reporting bodies.

      • Would still require disclosure for loan applications I would say. May or may not appear on your file but would be traceable on bank statements. Even withdrawing cash from an ATM at a casino would raise flags based on amount and regularity.

  • +9

Collective OzB greed ruined it for the ones who actually ordered the gerni.
This code shouldn't have been posted…

  • +5

It is for people who actually ordered the gerni. Now I can’t use it.

    • Did you intend to have the $150 minimum spend to use the $20 voucher?

      • Someone ordered 5 gernis, by that logic, they should've received all 5

        • They received one cancellation email and one $20 voucher, with the generic voucher code and still minimum $150 spending…

          • @Al123: Yes what they received and what they should have received are two different things, this isn't what's being argued.

  • +4

    Same

  • -4

All negs get a free upvote 👍

  • Anyone got a cancel email yet?

  • +3

Thats one way for them to collect thousands of personal info.

    • that's why you use a burner email and number.. and a random name

      • +2

don’t forget the random address for delivery

        • +2

ah yes, because shop zero also ships zero

    • Just use parcel collect instead of giving out your address lol. You just go to your parcel collection depot type your pin in and then you get your parcel. Simple and easy and no personal address involved.

  • Your $20 Gift Voucher Code is: RQF29CVX

    • Keep putting orders with these coupons and let them cancel until they fix their website.

Edit: oh well, it seems the checkout has been fixed.

  • +1

As per above post; received a new code from ShopZero:
"Your $20 Gift Voucher Code is: RQF29CVX
Minimum cart value $250 after $20 voucher is applied. One use only per customer."

Poor form from SZ about the high minimum spend

    • Hard to see these guys getting any sales with their weird conditions and high minimums

    • +3

      $250 LOL!!!

  • +3

The crooks also cancelled my Lego order and issued the same crappy coupon. Disappointed.

    • Lolz!!

      • We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please also accept this $20 coupon code from us for your inconvenience.

        $20 Coupon Code: SZSORRY17

Came a few hrs ago .

  • +2

Messaged them about the coupon not working, this is what they said:

    Hi P1xellat3d,

So sorry to hear you have had difficulties applying the discount code.

We have tested it and it is working. Please note we do require a minimum order value of $150 after discounts are applied. So to use the $20 discount your product/s need to be at least $170 in value.

Please give it another try and if the issue continues please let us know.

    Apologies again for any inconvenience.

    Kind Regards,
    Customer Service
    ShopZero

Seems the minimum order has now been bumped to $170? What a stitch up.

  • +2

    Hi ****

In relation to order number/s ********, we refer you to our Purchase Terms and Conditions which are displayed on the website and which you agreed to when placing your order. This transaction does not meet the requirement that The minimum shopping cart grand total that is required to proceed to checkout is $150 after vouchers and discounts have been applied, and has therefore been cancelled.

Please free to place another order on ShopZero using the discount coupon code SZSORRY17, but this time please ensure that your order value is over $150 after the coupon code has been applied.

      i got the same email

      • +3

They made a "price error" with the $30 Gerni and their apology is "pay $170(!!!) to get $20 off our hijacked prices"

        • +4

I am curious about their feedback on trustpilot and feefo. It may be the fake reviews.

    • +5

      Got the same email
The way they written sounds like its not their problem at all
Just because of their writings I will never be their customer from now on
Terrible customer service and public relationship

      • I think you should leave your observations on trustpilot and Feefo so that peopLe will aware.

  • -2

All the items I used afterpay on have been confirmed and shipped. Not bad.
