  • thanks op. good for all my old ogxbox/ps2 etc discs

    • Think so, they released them with different coloured wheels for each platform but apparently all the same

Is it just me or does this feel like one of those "as seen on TV!" things that doesn't really work?

    $5.95 postage

    • OP - Perhaps include Postage cost?

  • Had something similar it would just clean with microfibre cloth and alcohol
I've seen some old discs from 10 years ago get dirty or a film on them even stored in wallets.

    • I think it was low quality wallets that did this. Good ones did not.

  • +1

    Not really a deal

Note: Not for use with PS3, PS4, BLURAY or XBOX 1 discs.

Almost worthless because that list pretty much includes everything you would want to use it on.

    • +4

Bluray discs only have a very thin plastic layer (0.1mm)with a non scratch coating, vs dvd and cd which have a thick plastic layer and no coating.

It would not be recommended to buff out a scratch on a bluray disc (although it would take some extreme abuse to scratch one in the first place)

  • Just use toothpaste.

    • Don't forget to clean your kettle with a slice of lemon too

      • +1

nothing wrong with that. lemon works a treat

    • …carefully. Toothpaste will also make it worse before long. It's very easy to overdo.

Frankly I'd start with isopropyl alcohol and a bit of silk (or old boxer shorts) and only try toothpaste if I'm prepared to lose the disc.

You'll never get a disc 100% when scratched much or deeply.

    • i was about to say that, the g'old trust worth tooth paste, even though it works for 5min xD

  • Not sure if worth $15.

    What's a 'disc' ?

    • +2

The disc is the preferred medium for ensuring you have the best available quality, however, procuring one from its traditional home in the wild ("real world") requires planning, something this generation lacks.

Thanks goodness millennials have credit cards for online purchasing :p

      • You lost me at "best available quality" 🤣 hahaha

But yeah it was fun walking the isle's looking for something to watch.

  • These things are horrible and fall apart easily. I wouldn't recommended.

    • Anything else in the price range you could recommend?

  • +1

Thanks OP, got one. Not expecting much, but for $15 it's worth a shot to try to fix up some of my old discs.

Showing as out of stock now.

  • just received it and it made the cd worsen trying to get a refund now..

    • Mine fixed up a couple of Xbox 360 discs. Did you give it a few runs?

  • One thing though, the listing said
    Bonus Replacement Accessories
I didn’t get any of those, now the listing does not say that. Should have done a screenshot.
