@cristobaljames: Patience pays off with this one…

“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.”

@Tank evil: Fair call, I've had quite a few good shows and movies to watch lately but like most people I'm running out of options..

Will give it another crack based on the what I've read here.

              Cheers

              • @cristobaljames: Did you like his other non star wars movies?

What about his breaking bad episodes?

                I

          • +1

@cristobaljames: The start of the movie makes it, it's very intricate and you need to pay attention all throughout as there's a ton of intricacies which can be missed. Has to be one of the best movies I've seen in recent times, highly recommend it.

There's a really good video to watch on YouTube which goes over all the things you may miss, definitely give it a search once you've watched it. I don't want to link to avoid giving any spoilers away but just search Knives Out on YouTube and it should be one of the first results.

      • +1 from me too, I didn't expect it to be that good

      • +3

This will be free to watch for those with an Amazon Prime subscription later this month, fyi.

I haven’t seen The invisible man.

      • He lives in Canada

    • Plot twist, Cee is mentally ill and she fabricated the whole things and the brothers were actually her victims.
BOOM microphone dropped with the echoing sound effect

    Amazon.

Not dissing this bargain but just made me a bit sad about the old video rental shops. We used to rent new releases on Tuesdays for $2 each from our local Video Ezy. Now one of the biggest and richest companies in the world is doing the same service and, it costs more.

When they say consumers vote with their feet, this is what happens.

Movie cinemas might be next if the straight to Digital during the pandemic does well.

    • In fairness, you weren't getting the same quality as a 4k movie rental.

    • +1

      Inflation

    • don't know about you, $2 rentals never covered new release. New release was always charged at $5 each with only 1 overnight rental vs $2 weekly rentals for other videos.

      • Yeah our local shop did Tightarse Tuesdays, $2 new releases only that day. Tuesday nights were movie night for us!

    • In the 90s Netflix offered to join Blockbuster for 50 mils and got rejected. Now Netflix values at nearly 200 billions while Blockbuster filing for bankruptcy. Its their own fault for thinking they would be always on top of their game.

Any movies on there with actors that didn't fly to Epstein island?

    • lol 2 downvotes

    • Pertinent point!

  • Cats, yes!!!!

  • My account has a $1.49 rental offer, including new releases. I guess its probably targeted.

    • I had the same deal. It likely is targeted.

  • We watched little women and call of the wild.
    Previously sonic.
All good. Dr Doolittle I fell asleep, kids liked it but I think it might have been a bit average.

  • Peanut Butter Falcon is worth a watch

  • For $3 I'd say that Gemini Man is worth a watch.. that is if that $3 was earned answering pointless Google Play Rewards surveys..

    • If you have Amazon prime, then it's free on prime video now.

  • Some of those movies look interesting. How are people watching these with an Apple TV?

  • Proxima, Motherless Brooklyn, The Dead Don't Die - any good?

    • +1

Dead don’t die properly one of the most boring zombie movies I ever watched. Unless you’re a big fan of Bill Murray subtle humour.

  • Can I rent multiple movies or is it only one at a time?

    • +1

Rent as many as you want. You got 1 month to watch them. Once you open the rental, you got 2 days to finish it.

  • Fetch as well.
