$1400 base price + Shipping still cheaper than your deal..

    • Xperia 1 ii is a good phone though right

        Yeah, though it's VERY slippery.

I broke my screen while getting into a car in a hurry on the second day of getting it..
Lucky I paid with Amex so I have to pay 10% excess to get it repaired ($33.90), but since they don't have Sony in AU in anymore, it also means third party, lost IP rating already :(

Express shipping case.. the one I ordered from Ali is 7 USD but hasn't come for over month and half now, this one came in 1 week

edit: didn't read the second sentence

Anyhow, how's the battery life(without stamina mode), and any heating issues

Plays PUBG just fine, not a massive gamer, but it's not hot to touch, barely lukewarm?

            • @cwongtech: that's great to hear, might get one for that massive 4k oled display,

Generally Sony flagships are good to buy. Updates released regularly (for 2 years), and Sony also has the open devices project, so post upgrade there is always the potential for other Devs on XDA to be attracted to a sony project. They generally have a small robust dev community on XDA and Telegram. If this was around the $1k mark I would probably be getting it.

        • how secure are XDA roms

          • @[Deactivated]: What do you mean? If they'll have any viruses? There won't be, and they're open source anyways

            • @HaveANiceDay: no I mean like does it have key strokes and stuff that steals your data, that's my main concern

              • @[Deactivated]: ???

You could install a different keyboard if you want, except most keyboards use the keystrokes to improve predictions and autocorrect.

For the second point, if you mean extra stealing your data? No

Unless you want to go with a rom and MicroG

    • Toby Deal's price includes Tax and Duties. If you order from Buybuybox, you risk being charged $200ish

My Xperia 1 ii was ordered from Buybuybox. I didn't get charged.

        • this is what i mean by "risk being charged". Pretty much a luck of the draw.

    • Is buy buy box also HK stock?

      • Yep

        • cheaper to buy from hk?

@TobyDeals-Sophia you guys have terribly slow order processing time. Paying extra $$ for a fast shipping does not get anything. I have ordered in the past and ordered last week too. I have learnt that you guys don't really care about the customer. A customer needs to know from you first hand if an order is getting delayed as your website shows 'In Stock' for NO STOCK AT ALL.

Have a similar issue. Ordered on 14th of July and haven't recieved the item yet. They didnt ship the item until i did a followup on the order after 2 weeks of order. Got a notification after 2 days of follow up as item has been shipped and its been 2 weeks after that and yet to recieve the item.

Yes, proceed with caution. Purchased a phone 30th July. No update on order, so emailed twice. They failed to respond. On 9th August i opened a paypal dispute. Then, the order magically progressed to 'packed'. Great I thought!

A day later I received the first correspondence from tobydeals that the order would be delayed for around 3 weeks as they were sourcing stock

Today 13th August Paypal refunded my $$. If I had done nothing it could have well been a good month before any sign of the product/refund.

You may well save $$$ with these cowboys, but this is only good if you actually get the product.

I ended up spending a little extra and ordering again from an Australian based retailer.

good luck getting a reply from the store rep, we need mods to ban this store or advise why they dont deserve a ban

You think this is a deal? That much $ on that phone let alone a grey bahahahahaahaha

    • +1

Sony Xperia 1 ii isn't sold locally in Aus, so has to be grey import
It's a 5G capable phone as well, so you would need to compare it to the price of a S20 ultra with 5G (Xperia 1 ii has 4K screen)
But agree as this isn't a deal.. Buybuybox is cheaper.

  • I have placed an order once but it was out of stock.
    The refunded very quickly.
Does anyone have problem with 5G?

  • +3

The OP doesnt even reply to comments in the thread, just posts up "deals" to get sales and then almost completely ignores customers when they have issues.

Tobydeals is heading the way of Gearbest…

  • I also have issues with this store. The other day I asked if they have the OnePlus Nord and they said yes. Now they say no and have took off all the listings from their webpage

  • ignores mssgs too - can we have them banned please - scam store
