    What's the tv guide like with this one?

    I have a Samsung only a year or two old, and there's no way to turn off picture preview in the tv guide. This is a major issue because when you scroll to the next page of channels, you have to wait ages for it to load. I'm ready to 'retire' this tv to either my mums house or the tip it's so frustrating.

        Use 'channel change' rather than 'tv guide'. Depending on which model remote you are on, the buttons are in different places.

        Loading the TV guide always takes awhile to load….

    What is the sound quality of the speakers on this tv like? Is it one of those that they sound so cheap you need to get external speakers to be able to watch tv? I had a Samsung tv once and had to take it back because the sound was terrible. I was told it was because tv's these days are so thin now they cant produce a good sound.

      Yeah its tough to get great sound from such thin TV's but in my opinion it is not bad - they are certainly better than the LCD TV's of around 2 years ago.

    NEVER SAMSUNG AGAIN!!!

    Bought a 55inch plasma, screen burned in less than 10 months, had the panel replaced but burnt again within 2 weeks. HORRIBLE technician, customer service, and still waiting for our TV to be fixed.

      hope this isn't for all samsung plasmas.

      im planning to upgrade my sony 46Z lcd for a bigger samsung plasma.

        Hi Hazelnutties,

        That is bad!

        Which plasma did you purchase? You said 55" in here but they are generally only 59" or 51" - just want to make sure it is a Plasma and not an LED…

        It crazy that a second panel burned again in 2 weeks and it took 10 months for the first one to do it … Where are you based (ie. what area) and have you spoken to Samsung direct about this (as opposed to the warranty rectification centre) as I am sure they would be happy to help work through this for you.

        If there is anything I can do to help let me know!
