The Good Guys Commercial Access by Joining Your Salary Benefits (Not for Profit Employees)

Mods: Please remove if considered duplicate/plagiarism :) Credits to the guys mentioned below.

Was reading the comments on The Good Guys Commercial Access with SunSuper
when I saw kcbworth’s comment
Created an account with YourSalaryBenefits yesterday and just (took about 24hrs) got an email with access to Goodguys Commercial. No need to worry about opening another Super account/ATO or any bad effects. Purely free :)

You can fill in any company you work(or don’t work) when filling the details for YSB. I don’t work for a not-for-profit and did put my company, but got approved without any verification.

Edit:
Worked just now (11.20pm Melb time) on PC, Chrome. Mobile site (Chrome on iPhone) doesn’t look to be working.

  • my wife works for a NFP as a social worker so she gets access via this to TGG Commerical

  • Will be interesting to see what YSB do when they come in on Monday to so many new accounts.

Might go look at SunSuper now so I can get my M9's.

  • do people really think TGG would give a crap if theyre suddenly increasing their sales? sure it might be wrong to sign up but lets be real as long as TGG are making money no one is going to care.

"The username you have attempted to sign in with is disabled, please contact your Administrator for further assistance."

Was working yesterday, looks like the party is over?

    • -1

Weird that they are disabling accounts when according to OzB mods this was totally legit.

      • Not moderators fault when the website should have had more checks built in.

        • -3

The website meant to benefit employees of non-profit organisations that the mods see no issue taking advantage of. (profanity) pathetic.

          • @Ryballs: Was there a list of NFP's to choose from? It's not, then it was a fair game for everyone.

          • -1

@Ryballs: The signup form is public, and the signup form does not say only a NFP employee can sign up.

  • Yep. I just tried to log in and my account is disabled. Worked yesterday.

    • Did they disable both your YSB and TGG Commercial access, or just the latter?

      • Just the TGG access.. can still log into YSB just fine..

  • I actually work for NFP but do have another company that i've signed up with for Salary Benefits. Will this be a problem signing up for another Salary benefits company? Thanks

  • Never fear National seniors have this along with discounted gift cards etc and they offered us a discount on Joining Fees, we can legitimately join (all ages)

  • My account got disabled lol. Was working yesterday

  • lol ozbargained

  • I work for not for profit organisation. Can I sign up legally?

  • -4

Suddenly everyone is either a worker for a NFP lol

    And to the crybabies:
Who cares? They (your salary) have a problem? THEY will fix it. No need for keyboard warriors to come out of the woodwork. No one cares how righteous you are. Just do yourself right by you

    • -2

Looks like I got a nerve with a couple of haters who like to hide behind negs without replying… Lol

  • +2

    COOL! Thanks OP!

I work for 2 not for profits and my wife 1 as well so we should be eligible legally.

    Awesome.

I'm not sure everyone is understanding the issue here or it's gravitas.
This is not a moral issue, it doesn't matter whether you think this is right or wrong, that's a personal choice. whatever.
It's a fraud/criminal issue, so again it's personal choice, do what you want; but you have been warned.

    • +1

Dude, nobody here cares if it's fraud if they save a few dollars. That's all that matters.

    • What area of the law makes it fraud? No one is claiming charitable or NFP status so there is no issue.

      • I don't know, but as to No one is claiming charitable or NFP status, I read it differently

you guys know that these forums are monitored by TGG employees haha. Isn't it quite obvious they will end up disabling accounts.

    • +1

The sheers volume of sign ups via YSB in the last couple of days have obviously raised red flags.

    • +1

They already have and will for all new sign ups in the last few days eventually

  • Registration did not work on mobile but worked on PC. Disclaimer: I do work for a not for profit organisation. So thanks OP for the deal, upvoted

  • Are universities considered as NFP?

    • I think not

  • Still waiting for an email with login detail for gg signed up to the website a few days ago. Can anyone recommend a dishwasher for under $500 as my aldi one has packed it in?

    • same here, still no email for GGC looks like its Ozbargained :(

      • +2

Well that would suck im a legitimate applicant who works for a nfp.

        • +2

Same. Came back to see if there was an update…

          • @Gish: Same. My wife is also a legitimate applicant that can't access it now.

            • +1

@Ryballs: Cheers to those downvoting me for no reason

              • +1

@Ryballs: I've upvoted to see if i can even it out.

        • Same also.

Although I'm VERY legit (2 NFPs) and was looking forward to this, when I saw all those sign ups for people that weren't I knew it wouldn't happen.

          Ce la Vie.

      • +4

        I emailed them.

In MY case they've verified my authenticity. They will actually verify others also.

Apparently TGG commercial portal is in the middle of an systems review and update and I should have my login in about a week.

So, if you're legit, I guess just watch your inboxes.

        All the best.

        Ed.

        • +1

Just wondering if you emailed your salary benefits or TGG commercial? Cheers

          • +1

            @defiant: You Salary Benefits:

"Thank you for your email and for the clarification. Yes there are many people who has registered through OzBargin who do not work for NFPS and hence don’t qualify. Yes you will be given access to The Good Guys Commercial portal, however please bear with us for a week or so as TGG is going through a systems review and update which will take approx.. a week."

            • +1

@Ramrunner: Hi, did you manage to get the access to the TGG commercial yet? Thanks.

              • @jekyxmj: Nothing in my inboxes yet - I'll give it a few more days and email them again.

                • +1

@Ramrunner: Any luck? still nothing here :(

                  • @sirbangforbuck: No but you just reminded me an I've emailed Leonard just now.

                    Will let you know.

                    • @Ramrunner: I've emailed your salary benefits a couple of times and never received a response :( i also work for a not for profit. Would be interested if you receive a reply

                      • @Sezza: Got this 6 days ago (sorry I was in Geraldton from Thu-Mon and missed it):

We apologise for the delay in getting back to you.

The Good Guys commercial portal is open only to staff of Not-for-Profit organisations. Furthermore, The Good Guys have recently reviewed registrations, and re-emphasised access is strictly for NFP staff members - we, therefore, need to validate your registration.

                        Kind Regards,
                        The Your Salary Benefits Team

So obviously just only now sent what was required. I did actually go through this with them in my emails but guess they're just going over this globally for all applicants now.

                        • +1

@Ramrunner: Thanks for the update. I actually registered with my work email address assuming this could be an issue.
Just so you know, i received email confirmation from ggc yesterday. Which is a little over a month after i registered with your salary rewards. So they are getting through the list.

  • When you search "electronics & white goods", it gives you an option to check out and pay YSB directly?
Is this different to GG commercial?

    • +2

I believe GG commercial is a separate site with separate products

  • I can't register using Chrome on desktop (or incognito). IE doesn't let me choose the State dropdown, it's broken.

    • +1

I can't register using Chrome on desktop (or incognito). IE doesn't let me choose the State dropdown, it's broken.

Similar problem here - Firefox and Chrome both throw an error - "The store has encountered a problem processing the last request. Try again later. If the problem persists, contact your site administrator"

I have emailed them but the response so far hasn't helped much - "When you login to The Good Guys Commercial website, can you please advise which organisation is partnering with The Good Guys".
Seeing as I cannot log in then asking me what I see once logged in is problematic.
