Just noticed Xiaomi Dashcam 70mai 1S available on banggood for $54.48 plus delivery as part of a flash sale.
Not the cheapest ever but seems like a decent price.

Added coupon BGAFF10OFF for further 10% off when using the app to order.

Oh crap I didn't even think to check that before I bought it. Can anyone confirm?

It's the English version, says so in the title and description at Banggood.

I live in North QLD and the battery bulged and it’s more or less melting off the mount now after about a year of use. WiFi was handy while it lasted though! Now I’m just hoping it works as a deterrent from people vandalising my car when its parked lol

  • Can anyone share about the delivery time? 15-20 days?

  • I've had mine for ~7-8 months and am quite happy with it for the price - okay video quality and has been reliable thus far. Haven't had any issues with the battery (survived 1/2 of summer but time will tell). Only issue I had was it being unable to use my 64GB MicroSD - I had to create a <=32GB partition and leave the rest unallocated.

Time to upgrade to the A800 though!

The Blueskysea B1W would probably be a better option for our climate as it uses a super capacitor rather than a battery. Similar form factor to the Xiaomi, but marginally more expensive - was $68 on that (now expired) deal from 3 days ago.

The B1W is still CarCamCentral's budget pick too: https://carcamcentral.com/blueskysea-b1w-our-new-cheapest-pi…

  • I used the Xiaomi YI Smart Car DVR instead, only paid under $40 including free SD card a year ago, so far so good, best thing is detachable from the mount, so whenever I parked under hot sun, i will just take it off, so it will last longer …
