    For anyone trying to get a refund for missing items, don't bother with online chat especially 'Jessica,' absolutely useless. Hit me with the "you paid less than what they are worth" crap and you have to return all of the bottles to the store for a full refund even though some have been drunk. Called the 1800 000 610 number option 5 and they were more than happy to refund. Not sure why there is such a disconnect between the two but there you go.

    • How did they calculate the refund?

      • Judging from the rest of the thread a lot of people got prorata refunds which seems fair and probably the most likely way to get a refund. For me it was an entire bundle that didn't get fulfilled so they refunded that.

  • So judging from comments above, there's no auto refund even though some of us were informed by staff (when collecting) there will be refund on unfulfilled items.
    I thought their IT was working on a solution and they need time?

    • That's what I was told, but person I spoke to yesterday had no idea what the first person was talking about, and couldn't see any evidence anyone had looked at my account/orders last week. Was asked yesterday to email through my order details and said they'd take a look. Looks like you're at the mercy of who you get in the contact centre.

    • no auto refund. what did you pay with? I paid with PayPal. opened dispute yesterday, got my refunds today. if you paid by PayPal, try that.

  • I was told l will get a refund also, that was 5 days ago rang again on Monday was told they are stilling working on it. This is going to be a long process.

  • For those still trying to figure out the refund. I spoke with 3 different people via the online portal. The first has technical problems, the second said I would hear back in 24 hours (obviously didn't) and the third was a champ. Sorted it out in a few minutes without having to be pushy or anything. Choice of refund (but you have to speak to someone over the phone) or store credit.

    • What means of payment did you do ?

      I have a total mess of wish card purchases in different states of what was supplied . I won't worry about the minor ones with like 10% or less not supplied .

      I tried the William Light Shiraz for the first time and it was unbelievable that I rate it over its $40 RRP and will chase some when my 10 yrs supply runs out :)

      • I opted for the online credit. My closest supermarket is a Woolworths anyway, so we shop there regularly. It just came in the form of a coupon code.

        We've still got a heap of wine to sort through from all the other deals that have been up recently so haven't touched any of this lot yet!

        EDIT: sorry, didn't read your question 100%. I paid originally with a wish card and bank card. So figured it'd be easier to get the credit than work through that potential mess.

    • what did you pay with? I paid with PayPal. opened dispute yesterday, got my refunds today. if you paid by PayPal, try that.

      support gave me an awful runaround so I just hung up on them after 1+ hour of getting nowhere

    Picked up 13 out of 30 and paid $90 (5 bundles).

    Called them yesterday and said will get refund in 3-5days

    This morning, got $90 refund.

  • I've spoken with 2 different staff on phone. None of them is willing to issue me a refund.
    Now they ask me to wait until Friday and see. BS.

    • I led my enquiry with saying that the store I went to pick up from mentioned I should be getting a refund.
      Keep trying - there are definitely staff on the line who will process it. Are you hitting 5 on the options to get connected straight to someone?

      • True, she asked me how many received and how much the total cost. I thought she will refund pro rata which is fair enough, but to my surprise she offered full refund. So effortless.

          Did they ask for you to return all the bottles by any chance for a full refund?

          This was the message I got " Thank you for your patience. So as you may be aware, the prices of these bundles were an IT issue which has caused a lot drama for us. We've decided that we are going to be refunding all orders in full, I will process this refund for you now. All that we ask in return, is if you could return the bottles of wine to the BWS at your earliest convenience.

          Please give me 3-4 minutes to process this refund for you."

          I don't want to return my wine, hell I've drank some already lol

          • @dpp: I wouldn't think its legal after delivery for them to request a return unless some special safety issues was involved . I've never heard of it for a price error !

            • @popsiee: Yeah I only wanted a substitute for the ones I didn’t get or just a pro rata refund. Not a full refund.

        • I would like a refund on the bundle that was OOS. I am happy with the partial fulfillment of other bundles because they were at bargain price already :D

          Alas, on the phone yesterday, the girl appeared to be nervous and read off a script. Poor thing.

    One of my order paid by Wish Card said refunded on the order form . I rang them up and they said a store credit code was sent to me on that date around 2 weeks ago via email . I thoroughly check the email including junk and no such email exists . Anyway a new store credit code was txt to me today and I put Woolies on the list of companies ( bloody large list ) trying to increase their profits by keeping/cheating people who do not chase their refunds .

  • Got my money back easily by doing a credit card chargeback. I recommend it if you used CC

    • No 5% off that method so I wouldn't use it in this example !
      Around 93% of my orders got that benefit :)

    I filled out the missing items claim online last week and got the full amount refunded yesterday, and they didn't ask for any of the bottles back. With that and the $20 voucher they sent me to say sorry for the paypal issue, I did pretty well out of this… Thanks OP and thanks Woolies…

    So more good news on the wine order. Called them up about the refund for the approximately 15 bottles I didn't receive but only got a refund of $7.
    And due to the website stuff up they can't correctly work out the refund so they issued me a full refund on the entire order and said you can choose to return the wine if you wish or keep it. It's up to you….
    So I ended up with 55 bottles of wine for $0

    • I got a script about it being an honoured price error and a good price for the ones I got, no refund on those not fulfilled. I’ll call back.

    • Wow that’s great news for you. We got nothing for spending the time to order and mucking around with payments and refunds.

    Thanks to MadKaw's comment above, I raised missing items claim for the missing 6 out of 16 bottles. Waited for about 4 days and received email saying I'll get the full refund. Paid via GC but will get store credit. Glad that Woolies is doing the right thing for (some of) their customers. Sorry to hear about those with poor experience.

  • Just got around to sorting out my refund via live chat, very straight forward seems like the person had done this before, I gave the order number they looked it up and said this is the % you will get a coupon code for.

    Order 1 50% fulfilled
    Order 2 60% fulfilled

    Got a proportional refund for the amount I paid, not as good as a full refund some people got but I feel this is very fair.

    Great deal, good drinking wines.

  • I got a pro-rata refund, full would have been nice but I’m not greedy either. Got a silly amount of wine for a small amount of money.
