They should pay you to eat airline meals.

Last time I bought this I ordered 10 breakfast and 10 dinners. They said they said they ran out of breakfasts and we’re gonna upgrade me to all dinners.

I got home and they downgraded me to all breakfasts which were about to expire in the next week! I had 20 breakfasts !

I emailed them and didn’t even get a response..

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but this is hilarious!

      • Their food was alright, just not much variety in the meals I received

    • How did you survive without eating anything at night?

      • +6

I ate two of the breakfasts in the morning

        • Unexpected reply

I think expired in a week is okay, my last order if I remember correctly, rough half of them are already expired or within 2 days, I email them and receive prompt response and offer me refund straight away, quite impress with their customer service to be honest.

  • "Short Shelf Life Alert - Meal use by dates range from 1 to 16 September 2020."

    • +1

Going from past posts, it seems like people are eating 2-3 per night for dinner so short shelf life shouldn't be a problem lol

Keep 'em frozen and they should last a fair while longer.

I had to do a fair amount of airline travel for about a year in the lead-up to the COVID restrictions and I was actually pretty surprised at the quality of the meals I got. Sure, there will probably be some duds, but for $2 each I'd be willing to take a punt.

These folks are probably like most other travel-related businesses, doing whatever they can to stay alive, even if it means selling old stock for next to nothing.

You people have high expectations for a $2 meal.

    • I thought these set a pretty good mark back in the day :P

But then I realised I'd need two for a meal, so ended up being worth the extra dollar buying the Aldi tray pastas or curry tubs ($10 across two meals)

  • Bris ones say
"Sorry, we’re no longer accepting orders for pickup today. Try ordering again later."

  • Airport parking: $25!

    • The collection is from a point near the airport and they have free parking.

  • First Qantas is selling pyjama and now airline meals can be had, what's next ?

    • I wouldn't mind snagging a pilot's license

    • They need to generate revenue somehow to keep ppl employed

This should help with my Microsoft Flight Simulator immersion.

    • Now you just need to convince someone to play the part of 'flight attendant'.

  • Foods not bad, portions a little small. I got 5 vegetarian lasagna in Sydney
