Boost Mobile Are Thiefs and Liars

boost mobile are thief's. I was told by the live chat consultant that I will get data carried over if I recharge anytime before my plan expires so I recharged today. I had still 1 month in my post paid plan and 57g of data which I lost. You cannot call and speak to anyone at boost and the live chat team don't know whats going on. I have been speaking to livechat for the last 3hrs and they have changed operators 3 times and everyone is confused. Now all of a sudden I must bear loosing 1 month and 57g. That's nonsense. Don't purchase boost mobile ever. Bunch of liars. I will look for the relevant authority and be speaking to them.

Just sim slut if you are on a very tight budget or are just very tight.

Start with the Kogan 90 Day 60GB plan, currently $9.90. Then port to Belong when the $40 starter pack is on special for $20. This will give you 82GB for 3 months. See this old post for details.

    • 'Just sim slut if you are on a very tight budget or are just very tight'

ooh - sounds like that could get the juices flowing !

Call Ray Martin and start filling him in on the scandal. Ray will make arrangements to address the nation. These bastards won't get away with this.

    • Dick Smith and Clive Palmer might be interested too… Pauline Hanson has a voice …
That's assuming Tracey declines the option.

    • yes - ACA TV in the category of 'I trusted that nice man in a suit - how come he took all my money ?'

  • Really? The first time I signed up, my automated recharge did a second charge the day after I had already paid manually so in theory, I paid twice. I just went online to chat and the nice Boost staff just gave me a free month extra out of common sense. Only took 15 minutes to explain and do.

  • Trouble with phone conversations is confusopn and comprehension. I try do everything via chat or email so there is a record. In the past i had a phonecall recorder but that is way too impractical.

Dont forget the mobile plans are so rock bottom cheap there is little money in them. Means low paid humans on staff and little tricks to get more $$$. Like a common one i dont like is the 28 day plans and not calendar day months… But i went for a $150 plan as it saves $$ as long as i dont need to port out… and cuts doen a monthly bill.

Hence i like my solar panels, custs down my regular elec bill and i even changed hot water back from gas to elec to get rid of that gas bill (even the plumbers couldnt understand why i ditched gas)… i like my disability pension for me and not juggle monthly bills. Plus centrelink doesnt like liquid assets … meaning we arent allowed to keep emergency cash on hand for pet or car or whatever emergencies, hence i want to eliminate regular bills and boost $150pa is good value. . Now I'm ranting. Vote 1 Wally!

'Trouble with phone conversations is confusopn'

yes I find that too …

  • You are confusing…. why would you recharge when you have a "month" in store?

    What are you talking about?

  • I had still 1 month in my post paid plan and 57g of data which I lost.

Now that's a first for Boost Mobile.

I've had a bad experience onboarding Boost. I tried calling them, waited for hours before speaking an ignorant agent.

I lodged the complaint with TIO exactly the next day.

The issue was fixed within one day.

Then Boost chased me (multiple calls in a day from their rep), asking me if the issue is fixed, I should close the ticket. I literally put Boost/telstra agent on hold and played shitting piano on speakers and frequently told him that his call is a priority for me and I will get back to as soon as I am done trimming my nails.

    True story.

Now my connection is working fine, I am happily using it without any issues.

      and played shitting piano

Wait… do you have a piano in your restroom or did you bring a bedpan near your piano?

Call the cops. They will arrest the thieves and they will probably get the death penalty.

  • Prepaid customers were somehow always the most problematic in telco

OP if you're applying for a job, I suggest asking a friend to proofread your resume first before sending.

    • sounds like the same guy who wanted to quit his job because they told him he was slow

If you have a transcript skip the TIO ask for mediation at QCAT , keep an Aussie in a job.

    • The TIO doesn’t employ aussies?

      • -2

Thats cute you think the TIO does more than send email notifications. They do very little really. Most cases are resolved level 1. Even level 2 most just paraphrase the telco response.

A mediation would require a boost employee though.

I have friends who work at the tio. You’re right in the fact that most cases are resolved at level 1 or 2. That’s not due to the good will of the companies on trial, it’s just that it costs them incrementally more money to have the tio involved in later stages. They’d rather lose money to the complainant rather than to pay fees to the tio. The whole system is designed to be easy for the consumers.

What is cute that they do little more than send emails.

          • @hashtagbargain: Yeh mate, know that world intimately. Most times the telecommunications companies choose to throw money customers side. But definitely go through phases of hard ball till they get told to pull their head in. Good thing is now its very much pushed towards customer rights. If they dont do it by the book they get held accountable.

  • post the transcript screenshots

  • Have you tried calling them? They do have a phone number.

  • Boost customer service are no better than monkeys, I've also had issues with them in the past and it took 3 people to solve. All gave conflicting information.

  • One bad experience and you say they're all liars lul. And prepaid and postpaid are separate services so of course data won't carry over.

  • my2cents for being cheap
    sim hop each month

    Kogan (Vodafone) 90days $9.90 60GB over the 90days
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/559517

    Belong (Telstra) 30days $5 20GB over 30days
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/553761
*free simcard; activate it with a promo code for $20 value; pay $5 to get on the $25/mth plan

Using the hop between these 2 providers; you can achieve under $60per year.

  • I'm confused you said you had data left in your postpaid plan. Postpaid = bills, the opposite of prepaid.

  • If you had 57Gb of data backed up you obviously weren't using very much per month so what's your problem?
