Unfortunately the 2.4 GHz only is a real pain when connecting to the mesh network,
Unless you have 2 separate ssid for 2.4 and 5 the Reolink cameras wont really work as desired.(multiple connecting issue. i have returned a lumu and a rlc-511w in last month just because of this issue )

I would like to add that they do have a 30 day money back ,,, and the tech support is really great, I do have a 800B NVR 4k setup and i am happy with it. The app and the client are really good.

  • Can connect to or for Synology surveillance app centre?

  • Rotate 355° horizontally and 50° vertically.

Can we rotate remotely via app or this is turning manually by hand

    • Remotely on app (Point, tilt, Zoom). These cameras are great, i have two and they have all the features of alot more expensive models.

      • does the cam have smaller POV vs still ones?

This doesn’t have rtsp or onvif. Mine’s collecting dust.

    • what's rtsp or onvif?

      • +2

RTSP and ONVIF are protocols that allow you to connect directly to the camera to view the stream without having to use their app.
This is handy if you want to integrate it with a third party NVR or if you want to connect it to a home automation system like HomeAssistant.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just about to buy.

      E1 pro has RTSP ($53)
      Bought that instead

  • Can someone please give feedback and little info about app for using this camera as baby monitor.

    • If you use this camera as a baby monitor, the camera automagically transmits a video of your baby to your devices.

Your baby may think you are spying on him or her.

    • I have been using as a baby monitor and its been fantastic, tbh I dont know much about other types of wifi cameras but this has been easy to setup, and the app works really well to view my kid. The app is very configurable - you can setup notifications to your phone when movement is detected as well as sensitivity, and area within the camera view can also be defined eg. just detects movement within the cot as opposed to the whole room.

Going to get another one just to use as a general security camera.

    • The only downside I found is that there is a 1 second-ish delay VS a standard WiFi baby monitor which is pretty much instant

    • I have three reolink cameras in the house. Two of this one, and one of the better C1 Pro's. All three work perfectly for watching and listening. I can't comment on the automatic recording or alerting as I have it all turned off.

bought the unit for the baby monitoring purpose.
Can't beat in terms of value as dedicated baby monitors often have one viewing console and quite a bit more expensive. Often myself and the wife monitor on our own phones.
Visibility at night is good (red ring of IR LEDs are visible in night mode - may want to place away from the baby?).
Motion detection to send detected movements to Gmail (and other I imagine) can be setup with a little effort - I turned mine off after a while as it was sending too many emails.
Bidirectional audio seems to work - but rarely used. Used the speaker feature on the camera to scare the child a few times :) (you speak at the phone and it outputs to the camera).

    • Thanks everyone for feedback. Bought one.

  • Why do they state you have to contact them before purchase to confirm AU plug? Surely if I'm choosing the shipping from Australia that is enough to confirm?

    • Yes, it's enough.

  • OP do these timeout on the nest hub and chromecast or can they remain streaming until stopped?

    • @dealbest can you answer

      • On our app, it doesn't timeout. But I'm not sure about it on nest hub and chromecast. Anyone can help here?

  • Delivered before 09/08 or full refund? Do you mean 08/09? 8th of September?

    • Delivered by 8th of Sept for the AU warehouse.

  • Will it be AU plug or we need to specify separately ?
Also we can use it without NVR as standalone ?

    • +1

I just bought one and all feedback pictures seems to have attachment for all plugs like AU and EU

But there is no harm in asking question

    • +1

Hi, if you choose ship from Australia, then it's AU plug. Yes it works standalone.

  • What is the meaning of the sensor size options?

  • Hi, Will i be able to receive any notification immediately when my baby cry? If yes, how? Thanks.

    • If the baby moves when crying, then yes. Cause notification is based on the motion detection, not sound.

      • Thank you. So I have to leave the app stay open all the time in order to be able to hear any sound that baby make right?

        • +1

In such case you have to keep live view open all the time.

          • @dealbest: Do you know if it's possible to leave live view open on the argus 2? Was hoping for same functionality as the e1 but portable.

            • @911r: Dear, it's not possible, for the sake of energy saving. I suggest you contact our support team([email protected]) to have more professional advice.

          • @dealbest: noted. thanks

  • Why did this charge me GST on top?

Product Amount Shipping Cost Tax Total Amount
    US $ 24.64
    US $ 0.00
    US $ 2.46
    US $ 27.10

    • Hi, US$24.64 doesn't include the GST, so you have to pay US$2.46 GST, so total US$27.10 is around A$38.31 as specified in the title. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • Why the need for USD?. It ends up costing more for transfer fees and exchange rates.

  • delivered before 9/11 for me. even i chose ship from Australia

  • I think this deal no longer available? Only show USD $27.99 before tax.

  • Mine was delivered yesterday. Got the "sensor size" E1 x 2 option. Assumed that just meant 2 cameras, assumption is correct.
With the $2 off, it was 48.14 USD inc GST.

I am yet to receive my order :(

So clearly not Delivered before 09/08 (I assume they meant the 08th of Sep) and today is the 9th!

So OP, how do i claim a refund for not meeting the date?

    • I have received mine today and I am happy with this product. For price I have paid, it is really good

    • I got mine finally.. 2 days late. Promise not met but i can forgive them.
