A good deal if you can use it. The good guys voucher expires in 6 days from date of delivery, and there's a massive exclusion list.

      • GG was $8 delivery to ACT, will take my chances with the voucher being useful I guess

I got excited as i thought it was nest hello, but let down with googles limitations

    • I love my Nest Hello - so glad I bought it. Dunno why Google won't market them here in Aus. Probably because they don't think we'd accept a wired-only smart doorbell.

      • It's because it runs on 5ghz WiFi. Same as the nest iq cameras. Australia has some old law about 5ghz WiFi and outdoor which means they can't be sold here .

        • Interesting, didn't know that - thanks.

They must have since developed a 2.4ghz/5ghz version as the following text is taken from the Nest Hello wifi info:

"Note: In the United States and Mexico, Nest’s video doorbells can use the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. In the rest of the world, our doorbells are regulated as outdoor Wi-Fi products, and by law such products can’t use some of the 5GHz bands. So we designed them to only use the 2.4GHz band." - https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246544?hl=en

And a related reddit thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nest/comments/856ehu/24_or_5ghz_for…

Wonder when that version will arrive here
