I have verified it's the same model number so an easy price beat. Have been using it on my lawn and does a pretty good job.

I had one of these and would not recommend it. The battery lasted 15-20 minutes so it took me 3 hours to mow the lawn. The engine will cut out in moderately thick or wet grass. It does not cut low enough for me as well. It is light and will suit a small lawn.

I have a 160sqm lawn with buffalo grass and I get through it in 15-20 minutes. A 2ah battery lasted 2 whole sessions which was awesome and it did not struggle in any place. I do have the bigger model though with the 21inch blade but thats the only difference between this and that.

      Highly recommend the Victa mower.

What size lawn are we talking about, mine is close to 400 sqm and i have got 2 batteries, hope that will be enough. I gave it a go on fairly tall grass (about 12 cm, buffalo with weeds in it) on the lowest height setting it went through it fine and no engine cut offs.

About for 400sqm too but I only had the one battery. Was not going to fork out more dollars on another battery that would have gotten me another 20mins but will need replacing in a couple years. Ended up selling it for a $150 loss and bought a second hand little bob with a honda motor for $150 instead and love it.

    • Ive got a 100sqm and it cuts alright with battery to spare, I do wish it had a lower cut setting

    • I also have this mower with the 2ah battery and it chews through wet grass no problems, although admittedly I try to avoid mowing the grass when wet as it does use more power.

    • I have one of these with a decently sized lawn and I find it to be excellent.
I use two batteries, and I have to switch to the second when I'm about 80% done - zero issues cutting when the grass is long or damp.
I don't cut my lawn when it's actually wet - partly because it's like a swamp in winter, and partly because cleaning wet grass cuttings off everything is a pain in the ass.

      • How do you usually clean it. Can I hose the underside and the catcher with plain water ?

        • I use the mulching plug, and just get an old damp rag and use that to clean out the underside of the deck.

        • I just use a hand sweeping brush, like a dustpan-and-brush style. It's very easy, the grass just brushes right off 👍

    • The 82V one?
Mine lasts much longer than that and seems very overpowered for a suburban lawn.
It has an auto-powerup mode that detects hard to cut grass and ramps up the blade speed as well.

I love it. Totally over-specced for what I needed but I love that it's quiet and gets the job done.

  • been looking for one of these, but man, why have they gone up so much in 1 year and four months!

Exchange rate has tanked in that time.

      • I've been keeping an eye on the prices for the past couple of months. Bunnings AU's price regularly jumps back and forth from 589? to 629.

The AUD is about 10c stronger than the NZD. NZ's GST is 15% to AU's GST of 10%. Yet, Bunning NZ's listed price for this has been a steady NZ $499.

I was waiting for it to go to that price for a while. But with spring almost here needed something soon, so bit the bullet with this one.

      • ring up BW and see if we can get them to do it any better :D

I have the 21 inch blade version and haven't looked back. Got the whipper snipper as well and whipper snip and mow roughly 300sqm of lawn with one 2ah battery. Went with victa over other brands simply because the mower base is metal rather than plastic.

  • What year was your battery made? I got one yesterday and my battery is made in 2016 and charger in 2020. I thought they updated all the 82V battery in April?

  • Got the bunnings price match today no worries.

  • I tried to do this today in WA. They said the price match (+pickup) is only local, so if you are doing it from a different state or online they also add in delivery. Which puts it $2 more than RRP locally here…..
