It's just any other screen with slim bezels. I don't know how one can be innovative with a tablet screen design.

      • -8

im not just talking about the bezels lol, look at their previous Tab S6 and how they've updated that design

      • C'mon mate, just look at those round corners!

It’s wired that Samsung put SD865+ on the tablet, but still use exyons on the mobile phones

  • +1

I never understood Samsung. Note 20 Ultra = Exynos 990 and then Tab S7+ uses SD865+. Whyyyyyy

    • This processor can do 120 hz and highest resolution at the same time, where as exynos cannot thats why note 20 ultra cannot do this in either processor because they didn't want some countries to use 120 hz at full resolution and other's don't. This tab uses snapdragon across the world which is a good thing.

  • If anyone can get any kind of EPP/Edu discount either with the preorder bonus keyboard, or with the discount high enough to be able to buy the keyboard seperately and still come out ahead, please let me know :)

    • Hopefully it should come up on the Samsung education website soon….

    • There is what looks like a pricing error for one of the models added above, if that model interests you and you want to try your luck :)

      • Thanks but I want the 256 7+ with the OLED. Great the preorder comes with the keyboard, but at $1749 it's still pricey! Times are tough, haha. I'd get a 128GB and get an SD card later for expansion to save a few bucks if only the 128GB model came with the 8GB RAM instead of 6.

  • Do these hold RRP price well over time or are they likely to be a lot cheaper in 3, 6, 12 months?

    • It's not Apple

    • I think local stock will drop only very slightly over the next year because with these flagship specs and premium build quality they'll be desirable for a couple of years. You might get lucky with an eBay 10% off site wide deal down the track but they'll probably be price jacked.

      • No way, Samsung products always get 35% off in the EPP portals 1 or 2 months from launch

        • Including tablets?

          • @abadacus: you could get it cheaper than that, I was being conservative

        • Cool. Will wait

    Available now https://www.samsung.com/au/tablets/galaxy-tab-s7/buy/
Still waiting for EPP/education store preorder

    • Yeah its a bit odd hey that its not on the Samsung website but its on the JB site already :')

    • +1

Theres something wrong with Education Store, whenever I go to the cart it gives this error :

ERROR: 500 - INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
Uh oh, looks like something has gone wrong, sorry!

Not sure if anyone has noticed this

      • Can't see it in the education store?

          Here the link.

The edu store is only 20% off no keyboard

          • @Thunder-Wombat: Can see it now, but annoying there is no keyboard cover being offered with it

            • @RevBargain: It takes away from the price, cause they the keyboard is $287.20 on the edu site, so only saving $150

          • @Thunder-Wombat: Not worth it then. 256GB WiFi is $1749, minus 20% is $1399.20. Add the keyboard full price once available at $359 and it's back up to $1758.20, ends up more expensive. Better off just pre-ordering, signing up with the $50 marketing promo and getting it with the keyboard for $1699.

            • @ImpulsePie: Slightly cheaper as the keyboard is 20% off at $287.20

              • @Thunder-Wombat: A great big saving of $12.60, thanks Samsung! Guess that goes to show you what a good deal this pre-order bonus is!

                • @ImpulsePie: Yea, was hoping they would give their education store 30% off like they did with the S6.

I just checked the Telstra EPP store and its only 20% as well

                  • @Thunder-Wombat: Yeah I've got a mate at JB who's gonna see what he can do with the price for me. If he can't get it lower than $1699 with the keyboard included, I'll just buy it on the Sammie website. Almost full price stings, but at least it comes with the keyboard, it is what it is!

                    • @ImpulsePie: Dont forget the $50 voucher you can use on the edu site as well.

Im trying to decide whether I bother with the 5g model or just go 4g

                      • @Thunder-Wombat: I don't have access to any edu or EPP stores unfortunately, I'm just a pleb who works in IT, haha. So $1699 with the $50 voucher and included keyboard on the regular site is the best I'll get unless my JB mate can do better! My S20+ is 5G and can hotspot easily, so WiFi will be good enough for me.

                  • @Thunder-Wombat: I just ordered. Tab S7+ 256Gb WiFi with keyboard and $50 off. Total $1636.40
                    Every little bit helps.
Now I want a leather look 3M skin for the back

                    • @RevBargain: Yea I'm just about to do the same. Decided the I really didn't a 5g model so going top wifi for that extra 2gb of ram

    • When offer comes up on samsung site - may be able to save extra $50 by signing up to newsletter and spending over 350

Not worth double the tab s6. Crazy money.

    • True

  • +3

Ridiculous pricing for a keyboard cover.. ($359)..

    • +1

Wait till you see the $500 iPad keyboard. :)

      • Yeah.. you can't argue with whataboutism. It's not a pricing arms race with CrApple and their rip off BS.

  • I am still using tab s4 which is a good tablet overall. Can someone advise where can I find it's keyboard cover at cheaper price or if someone willing to sell theirs?

  • NO HEADPHONE JACK EVEN IN A 12.4 TABLET?

    • +2

Yeah the no room is just BS.

  • +1

Why Australia dont get mystic black

    • I didn't buy the Tab S6 last year because of the blue. I think I can cope with silver though. I'm with you though. I want the black.

    • I was after the mystic black too, I see Kogan sell it but it's an import.

  • I like the tablet but don't like the price.

    • I like the tablet but don't like the name… I mean they already used S7 and it was a phone right?

  • If you pre-order, when do get the devices?

    • +1

Expected on 9th Sep from Samsung. They're aiming for delivered on 11th Sep

  • Is the Tab S6 still available anywhere?

    • Amazon $899 for 128GB 4G

  • I am having problem checking out on Education Portal, it gives this error :

ERROR: 500 - INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
Uh oh, looks like something has gone wrong, sorry!

Have tried using phone etc but not working

    • Try Unidays portal

  • Where's the best place to get discounted JB Hifi gift cards? RACQ do 4% discount and if you work with Woolworths group you can get 5% off. any other better deals?

  • I was hoping the price would be bit cheaper… I am technically uni student so I get the 20% discount, but then I have to buy a keyboard cover.

  • For students who are looking to preorder, they can save a bit via the store + keyboard overall:
