I have no idea or opinion about this studioproper online store however, I was able to get officeworks to price beat them and get a 2nd Gen apple pencil for $199.50. It is currently $219 at apple and JB.

So far Apple hasn't questioned it.

What’s difference between gen 1 and 2?
Old one has to plug in to sync / charge (and looks idiotic doing so)
New one has wireless charging and magnet holds onto the side of new ipads

Apple Pencil 2.0 pairs and charges magnetically via the side of the iPad Pro, so at this point in time, you are looking at iPad Pro which do not have Lightning ports - they have USB-C. Rumoured iPad Air (4th Gen) may be compatible too.
Basically:
Apple Pencil 1.0 - requires Lightning port on the iPad to pair (and optionally charge).
Apple Pencil 2.0 - requires an iPad with a compatible flat side to pair and charge.

Own the 1'st gen - got it for free, can't believe the stupidity of Apple, not adding a /single/ button to this.
Would NOT buy one - wait until they wake up and add a button. Plenty of potential functionality is squandered with their minimal stupidity.
The gen 2 does have a button, but it’s a touch sensitive area on the pencil. Depending on the software, you can re-map it for a range of functions.
Guess you HAVE to buy one now…
Not sure if I will order from Studio Proper. They have not shipped my item (from Amazon) and have not replied to queries. Sent 2 emails via Amazon and 1 email via Studio proper and got no reply. In the end I had to cancel my order after waiting for 2 weeks.
Or 43 cents for a non name brand pencil…
