  • How is Toby deals to deal with?

I never ordered from them but online reviews are mixed.

    • +1

I wish I could tell you. I took a gamble as the price was right. Probably similar to so many other China sellers.

      • Yeah most reviews seem positive as the product is great but if you need customer service for warranty is bad.

        Will try my luck

        • My pebble no longer holds charge very well and lacks heartrate monitor, I missed the cheap Aldi special buys and this appears to be a good choice for a simple watch with heartrate and great battery life.

          • @Ice-Eyes: I ordered Samsung galaxy A51 few days back. Arrived within 10 days. My 3rd time from them. No issues this time. Last time had to raise PayPal dispute as it didn't get delivered for 30 days. Got refunded eventually.

I got a BipS from them recently. The price was good but they took 2 weeks to post the watch after receiving the order and it was 6 weeks before it arrived (largely due to a problem with the shipping company which was not the fault of TobyDeals).
However I also found TobyDeals very unresponsive to emails. I sent them a couple asking for postage updates and never received a reply. When I hadn't received my watch after over 5 weeks I emailed them again and they replied after 6 days by which time I'd already contacted the shipping company myself and sorted the problem. In summary, good price but poor service. Pretty happy with the watch though when I finally got it.

      • I bought this recently and my experience was similar.
Good price but you have to be patient and don't expect any customer service.

Took a month from order to delivery.
Item was listed as "in stock" but took over 3 weeks to move from "Processing" to being dispatched.
My repeated email enquiries were ignored.
The watch eventually turned up a week after status changed to dispatched, exactly a month after order.

The watch itself is great. Integrates with Strava via Amazfit app which was the main requirement.
The battery life is impressive. With 5km runs once a week battery was still around 30% after about 5 weeks.

TobyDeals eventually responded to my email that the watch had been delivered - response was a month after I told them.

        • What do you have turned on because that battery life is no where near what I get! I have all my notifications (SMS, call, email) set to come through but have turned off heart rate. I get maybe 7-10 days…? Which still isn't bad!

          • @JuryWheel: When I first got mine I played around with a lot of watch faces and features and got about 10 days. Since then I've got notifications and heart rate turned on and just keep one of the standard watch faces. I get about 3 weeks between charges. 7-10 days seems awfully short for this watch.

            • @Angelino: hmm, im using a pretty basic watch face. no HR……might check my settings. Are you just using the regular app (now renamed Zepp)

              • @JuryWheel: Yes, I'm using Zepp. I have Incoming calls on, Event reminders off, watch alarm off, app alerts on, Idle alert off, Incoming SMS on, Goal notifications off, Discoverable off, Lift wrist to view set to All Day, Heart rate detection set to Automatic heart rate detection and Sleep assistant with detection frequency at 1 minute but with activity detection turned off.
I don't often use the watch to control music and I don't get a whole lot of notifications. Hope that helps

                • @Angelino: Sweet, ill check all of mine (only one i couldnt see was the sleep assistant with detection setting…ill have a hunt - EDIT found it, i think ill just keep HR off, dont think ill use it at all…). Mine is currently at 17% and last charged 12d ago. Ill let it run down and then do another test with these settings. Really, anything over 14 days is fine by me…

                  • @JuryWheel: HI JuryWheel, apparently there is a problem with some of the Bip S watches
Does yours have a screen that flickers every second, when the watch is at rest and it is in always on mode with the backlight off?
We have 4 of the watches in our family and 3 of them get 30+ day battery life, but one that flickers loses 10% daily with everything turned off.

                    • @choofa: Hmm, I hadn't noticed but will try. I assume there isn't much we can do about it?
I'm currently sitting at 61% and it was charged 6 days ago, so that isn't too bad..

                  • @JuryWheel: One thing I've noticed is that tracking activities like cycling will drain the battery very quickly. If that's what you've been doing I think that's the most likely explanation for only getting 7-10 days.
I'd suggest turning off all the battery draining extras like notifications and continuous heart rate monitoring and using it just as a watch for a while. See if that makes a big difference. You can always turn those features back on again after.

    • I ordered a BIP from them in Dec for Christmas. Arrived quickly, even in the busy postage period, no issues with the service or product.

  • I ordered this same thing from them too! Got it in 2 or so weeks to melbourne

  • Ordered one about a week before this deal went up and it never shipped. Annoying TobyDeals weekly and them stringing me along finally saw a refund come through now, 4 weeks after ordering with a "we're out of stock". If you got one, great, but this site is dodgy as. Steer clear.
