Sony WF-1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones (Black) $237 + Delivery or C&C @ The Good Guys Commercial (Membership Req)

780

Been cheaper, but still a good price for a top-of-the-range pair of noise cancelling wireless earphones at the moment.
I use these personally at work and in Zoom meetings. No issues with the mic after recent updated firmware. The fit could be a bit better but that's probably down to personal preference.

Industry-leading noise cancellation
The noise cancelling technology in the WF-1000XM3 is the most advanced ever in truly wireless headphones, with our HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e. So you can lose yourself completely in your music.

Dual Noise Sensor Technology
Dual microphones – one feed-forward and one feed-back – on the surface of the headphones catch more of the ambient sounds of your surroundings, whether it’s in-flight noise, city traffic or office chatter.

HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e
Having caught the ambient sound, the dedicated HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e gets to work. It not only cancels significantly more noise across almost all frequencies but also uses less power.

Exceptional sound quality
Packed with advanced audio technology, the WF-1000XM3 noise cancelling earbuds not only deliver noise-free listening but also offer breathtaking sound quality.

Truly wireless technology
With Bluetooth wireless technology and an ergonomic fit for all-day comfort, the WF-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones offer true wireless freedom.

All-day battery life
With the WF-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones, the music just keeps on playing.

Smarter listening
Powered by innovative SENSE ENGINE™ technology, WF-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones enhance your listening experience with a range of smart features.
Adaptive Sound Control automatically adjusts to whatever you do

The Sony | Headphones Connect app offers Adaptive Sound Control, a smart function that automatically detects what you’re up to – for example, travelling, walking, or waiting – then adjusts ambient sound settings to suit the situation. You can also customise the settings to your preferences.

Modern classic style
From the headphones with their clean, minimalist look to the charging case with its tactile, high-end finish, it’s all about elegant, understated style.

These are covered by a Full 12 Month Australian Warranty with TGG I believe

Wonder why these deals are not marked as targeted or have Membership required in the title. It's not like everyone can acquire the membership.

I have reported it to mods but they fail to take any action.

    • +4

Actually anyone can, just sign up a SunSuper account.

    • You make it sound like the mods should be at your every beck and call.
As above, the membership is available to everyone. Just do some reading in the comments and you would know that.

Tried to get a membership via your salary benefits, looks like they started vetting that process of membership to GGC?

    • Yeah I signed up via your salary benefits and sunsuper too, but neither have been processed yet. Maybe they saw the huge influx of new sign ups and canned them.

  • Price is fine,

Why do they name these headphones when they are wireless earphones?

      • -1

yeah - that's a minute of my life I'll never get back

Telstra got fined $64M for misleading and deceptive - this could apply here too

  • honestly, after using airpods pro, these become really uncomfortable that I rarely use them anymore

    • How's the noise cancelling on the pros?

      • They are fairly similar I think, slightly better for the wf but wouldn't really notice normally

        • That's pretty darn good then.
It's a shame the pros are so expensive. However, I prefer the small format. These head clamps (Sony) are not only uncomfortable but pretty big to carry around

@ocoolio: I think you can get them for about $300 these days with OW PB and that's worth it I think comparing with this price, and yeah definitely you can wear these everywhere, I only use ANC headphones for flights and long travel

everyone always ask me to not use these for calls as they cant understand me. like its all muffled. Opps I got the WM-1000XM3

    • This x1000

I’ve got these Sony in-ears and also Bose QC35. Using either as a mic is cruel to the people I am talking to.

Use a real microphone of some description that isn’t positioned halfway around your head.

  • wh xm4 had remove from tggc website
    what a pity

    • Me, waiting for wh-xm3 to go below $300 (brand new, non of this refurb or 2nds business). Or larger discount on the xm4s ( around 520 discounted from I what could find googling)…

      • you could get JB to match their commercial price of ~$450

        • Anyone tried and succeed? I'm curious.

          • +1

@SF3: a lot of people have been successful from the previous threads, some even got it down to $400

    Headphones

earphones. not Headphones. plz change the title

  • I really like these for music.

For calls it's can be fine for shorter ones, but for longer calls (maybe 15mins+) they'll cut off at some point and I'll need to use phone in normal way. May be an issue with my phone (Galaxy S9+). It also has connection issues with my 2016 Samsung TV.

  • edit: nvm was looking at wh line

tried them - hated them - returned them - got my money back

glitchy connections - and then no obvious noise-cancellation - the main reason I bought them after reading glowing reviews (yeah - you can trust those … apparently not)

the shop guy said 'the noise cancellation is working'

so I stood on the street and switched the noise-cancelling on and off repeatedly - and after a couple of minutes I was 'oh yeah - if I listen really carefully there's a very slight high frequency hiss - difference'

but for low frequency like the rumble of a diesel bus engine 2 metres in front of me - NO difference.

so yeah nah - for me they were a complete WOFTAM

You either got a dud pair or you didn't know how to turn noise cancelling on, 'cause obviously you seem to be the only one who has had such feedback for them.
No complaints with mine, obviously not as good as the WH-1000XM3, but you can't compare over ear headphones with earbuds.

  • Aaaand there back to normal

    • …my bad looking at the wrong XM3
