No idea why you were neg'd but sorted it for ya. Yes the stand is way too low. Previously I have used vertical bits of timber off the back of my TV cabinet and then mounted the wall mount on that at the right height. This time around I am getting a custom TV cabinet made, but for sure not using the stand it was supplied with. TBH the stand the CX (and C9) come with is a pain in the ass, Sony, Samsung splayed feet are much better in my opinion.

I am glad you asked this question, as I hadn't really thought about it as an option to cater to my centre speaker which is 13cm high. I have been looking at entertainment stand/cabinets that may allow for it to fit in under the top level.

Here is an interesting one that allows for swivel too - https://www.sanus.com/en_US/products/mounts/wstv1/ $199 locally. I gather they updated their spec coverage, as it seems originally they suggested only to 60".
Here is a Reddit post with a user showing it mounted to 65" C9 to clear Sonos bar - https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/haysj0/lg_65_c9_arc_…

      • Thanks for the post Snuke. Seriously considering this thing now. I had never thought about a standing mount.

Here's the base from Reddit - it's $200 in local stores and Amazon. Do you have any idea what the maximum clearance would be for the 65" C9 with this?

I have a 45 cm high centre speaker from a surround setup that I used to use with a projector that I'd love to be able to use again. Have had to suffice with a Sony Atmos soundbar since I got the C9.

Thanks, I did search for Sanus on Harv Norm and that didn't come up, odd.

45 cm high centre speaker from a surround setup

You what now? 45cm, what behemoth model is that? 45cm????

          45cm? What?

Edit: 65" C9 & CX lower Vesa mounts are both 14cm from the base of the TV.
Sanus mounts lower position at max height is 27.8cm, although that doesn't look to be the centre point of the bracket, so let's say 28cm. That leaves 14cm form the base of the TV to the top of the Sanus base which is 16mm. So total possible clearance from top of entertainment unit to base of TV would be approx 15.6cm

Happy days for me and my 13cm centre speaker.

          • @snuke: Haha…my bad! I tried googling my speaker but obviously looked up the wrong thing. Just double checked and it's actually 23.2 cm high. Thanks for doing the research and the math. In other words, lucky for you and unlucky for me.

That's too bad, as I have an audiophile surround set up, which I can't use as I don't want to wall-mount the TV at my current place. Oh well, it's probably an overkill for the size of the room anyway.

      • Cheers, I ended up ordering this from Amazon based on a review left by a purchaser: (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B086PJ68NK/ - $99.99AUD Prime Delivered). Not fussed about having to potentially drill lower mounting holes, I like the idea of being able to choose a lower resting height.

  • So I'm assuming 55" will be around $3000?

Just ordered one of these, been eyeing it for so long. The wait for the PS5 is going to be even harder now.

  • It keeps telling me items doesn’t ship to Australia?

  • Hey guys :)

I'm assuming this TV is ideal for the PS5& XBX?

Looking to upgrade my 65" Hisense.

    • +2

Yes. One of the best rated TV's for PS5 and the reason I am looking to buy one.

      • Awesome.

I do like SONY or Samsung though - never had an LG TV before.

Once you go LG you never go back. The magic remote and OS is just so easy to use and trouble free.. also almost all their panels are IPS or OLED so LG have the best viewing angles out of all the companies.

My next TV will be a 65 or 75" 91 series nanocell for $2000 or $3500 as it ticks all the boxes and has higher nit brightness VS this OLED.. they also both use way less power to run then this OLED TV… How strange is that. Lol

        • The C9 is also the first LG TV I've ever bought. Never liked what Samsung had to offer so have bought Sony LCD or Panasonic Plasma for the past 15 years. Let me tell you, LG is where it's at these days. I really wanted the Sony flagship but couldn't justify the price difference. I'm very picky but completely in love with the TV - picture quality, WebOS, the Magic Remote - the works. Go for it - you won't regret it.

  • How do these Ebay Plus sales work? Are they limited to specific items only, as when I look at this Ebay Plus sale list I can't see the LG CX?
    https://www.ebay.com.au/e/coupon-offers/10-off-co-funded-ms-…

The OP's deal link works fine to the Appliance Central listing, but I can't test whether the code works as I'm not an Ebay Plus member (was going to try the 30 days free, but don't want to commit to it until I know I can use this offer).

(This happened last Ebay Plus sale too - though strangely I could see the LG CX listed as an Ebay Plus deal when I clicked through on my work PC, but not on my phone.)

that link isn't the most reliable never shows all stock from the stores, if you start your eBay plus trial you will be able to purchase, probably good timing to start the trial with eBay 21st bday starting tomorrow so will be eBay plus deals during sept

  • Purely looking at playing PS5 90% time on the TV (10% for Netflix/Movies) does better processor of the CX have any impact on the PS5 visuals, sound etc. or its purely for upscaling TV content and operating system etc? With the BX having HDMI 2.1 as well i'm wondering if that's kinda all I need for gaming.
Noted peoples comments on burn in but i might get 1-hour a day continuous play at best.
    TIA

    • Get CX, peak brightness is much better than BX. It is the panel and PQ difference.

Processor when gaming is not important, gaming mode will disable image processing to reduce input lag.

  • Hi folks, I'm eyeing the BX on Appliance Central's ebay store. Might sign up for the free trial to get it for the 21% discount (evne jacked, it's still lower than even TGG commercial)…but how do I know if it's covered? The BX doesn't show up on the 21% search page that eBay has - nor does this one, so is it definite the discount would apply to these? https://www.ebay.com.au/e/coupon-offers/21-off-ms-plus-tech-…
