About porting your own number to Boost:

You can request porting your own number to Boost when activating the SIM. Before porting number, contact your current service provider to confirm personal details. Make
sure your Name and Date of Birth registered with the number are 100% correct including spaces. Ask to update your details if anything is incorrect. Once confirmed, provide
the exact same details to Boost to initiate the porting. Some carriers will send you a SMS to authorise the porting request, so make sure the current SIM is inserted until the
service is disconnected. Telstra users need a separate blank SIM (Boost will send you for free) to finish the process.

Please contact Boost Mobile on 1800 100 933 if you have further questions.

Thanks for supporting small business.

          • @[Deactivated]: Just a heads-up that my $150 starter kit wont activate. It shows the $80 Boost Anytime Ultra plan on the Offer Details page but doesn't give an option to progress the activation beyond there.

Both phone and message support services have been down so I'm not sure what the problem is. The help forums are littered with activation issue threads.

@[Deactivated]: Finally got my $150 sim activated. Temperamental system decided to work after about the dozenth attempt.

        • Same here, I have a pack with expiry 02/2022.. planning to activate it tomorrow.

        • i just tried to activate my $150 kit but after I get pass the ID verification, I was presented with a blank screen when selecting a plan.

Panicking a bit now since I am trying to transfer my existing optus number to this new plan. I will give boost a call tomorrow and see how to get it working.

          • +1

@wiltonson: it's seems to be working fine after a few hours, probably too many people were activating sim card when I attempted it.

            • @wiltonson: So you're able to activate the $150 80gb plan?

              • @DarthLord: Yes. Expiry in 2022.

I also request transfer my existing number from optus

                • @wiltonson: Hey, since you just ported, can you recharge with the same $150 plan next year, like existing customers, or do you have to recharge on to a new plan? Maybe you can see the recharge option in the Boost app?

Thinking of getting a $150 starter kit with 2022 expiry.

                  • @hoarie: I'm still waiting for Boost to activate my account settings. When I open the app, nothing works yet. Also I can receive incoming call but not outgoing call yet.

                    • @wiltonson: Thanks for keeping us updated. Hope it works without a hitch for you. let us know if you end up on the Boost Anytime Plus plan or the new Boost Anytime Ultra plan. :)

            • @wiltonson: Thanks! I hope it will still work in December and in 2022 as that’s when I am activating them

              • +1

@fozzie: yeah still waiting for the service to be fully up and running. I still can't see my account status to set up auto recharge so have to keep waiting.

  • Hey OP, do you have a store in sydney?
    Would prefer a pick up

  • -1

    Remove please.

  • Does anyone know if eSIM service is available in Boost?

    • No it isn't available on Boost

    • Computer says no.

  • What if I recharge 4 months before expiry, will it extend the expiry date to 16 months?

    • +2

No you only get 12 months from today (and data doesn't roll over).

    • No.

  • My 150 plan expire in three days but I just renewed because seems to 150 not available for renew from tomorrow.

    • +2

Renew is no problem, you can recharge directly.

Looks like cannot activate new sim card, but who knows.

  • How do I port from Telstra?

  • +3

I’m on boost $150 but even with this new boost $200 offer I still wouldn’t complain, especially on full Telstra network, considering I was paying $40+ a month BYO, only paying $200 for a whole year is still a great saving.

    • Agreed still a great deal, but why cant I find this new 12month 85gb or whatever for 200 on their website though?

      • you can find on boost app

      • Maybe it’s released tomorrow and resellers get first batch of stock

  • +1

What is going to happened to those 150 plan but yet activated

  • +1

@cellpoint Would you mind creating your own product description rather than copying our hard work?

  • Ordered one, thanks OP.

  • +1

Isn’t the Optus 100gb $150 deal much better value ??

  • I'm getting really bad speeds on the Telstra 4G network now. Is this happening to anyone else?

  • Considering this for a family member. What happens if you go over the data limit, that's it unless you buy more right? In which case a month-to-month would be better suited for them…

  • Hi any deals on the $300 pack?

  • +1

They're gonna be discontinuing international roaming sometime in October? And it's not coming back till mid-2021? Does anyone know anything about this?

    • I got that message too.

From what I see they have some international roaming option for $60 for 14 days, instead of the $5 and $15 add ons.

No idea if the $60 option will remain, it appears they will not. Must be still negotiating another deal with Telstra or possibly they are thinking of switching operators mid 2021.

  • There seems to be a fortune of complaints porting into Boost now. Might be worth holding off as people are having their numbers in limbo. Check their FB page.

    • +1

Porting numbers has always been a ball-busting process.

  • Any thoughts on waiting for other resellers to discount this new $200 boost plan for a lower price or jump in now to get this at $160? Wondering if other resellers would start to price beat this?

  • +2

Previous plan $150 for 80GB data, new plan $200 for 85GB data.

My ADSL monthly charge increased a few months ago

My NBN plan is informed to increase by $10 a month 2 months from now (not due to a promo)

What happened with Australia? I have not known any other country that charge more and more for Internet data over time, like it is now in Australia.

    • our cash value must be going to the crappers

  • +1

So, it looks like the plan is not '85GB' but rather '30GB+55GB bonus', with the bonus only available if you activate on or before 26 October…

The OP should make this clear in their post…

  • I have a $150 sim ready to port over too but I am waiting to redeem my Telstra plus points before porting.

Does anyone know if my Telstra plus points remain in my account if I port my only number with Telstra over to Boost (yes I know they are same network)? I’m worried I’ll lose my points if they deactivate my Telstra sim/account.

    Many thanks

    • Yes, and you keep earning Telstra Plus points too with Boost recharges.

      • Thanks that’s great to hear!

      • Hey, can you please tell me if I port out to let's say other provider Kogan. optus, will my Telstra points still remain in the account if I don't have any other service with them? Thanks

        • No.

  • How come no one talking about CatchConnect 120GB / $120 plan? Isn’t that better value on Optus. Not sure if full or wholesale though. I have existing boost 80Gb/$150 can someone give me a reason to stay?

  • The first year $150 plan and $200 plan (buy here for $160) is not much difference, but 2nd year onwards recharge will be $150 vs $200.

    • +1

And you’ll probably only get 30GB on the $200 recharge (unless there’s bonus data available at the time)…

  • @cellpoint I purchased this deal last night, but have not received a confirmation email. Should I have received one?

    • Hi, Thanks for your order. Can you please check your Junk/ Spam folder in case if the email is there. If not can you please do a private message with your name or order no and we can resend order confirmation to you.

      Thanks.

  • Not a bad deal. I was about to go for Woolworths or Optus $150 deal and previously could only see a $300 12 month deal for Boost. I'm guess wifi calling is not included.

I see cellpoint also have a $100 starter pack but no details. Any idea what it is?

  • Tried to activate few mins ago, my $150/ 80gb/ 12mths SIM has expiry date of 24/02/2022, but i couldn't activate it, getting this error

"The SIM serial or service number entered is invalid or is already active. Check that you’ve entered the correct SIM serial or service number before trying again. If you’ve already requested to activate your Pre-Paid service, allow up to 4 hours for your activation to complete. When complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email, SMS or both from us."

Anyone facing same issue trying to activate?

In case anyone is still confused about the old $150 plan…

    https://boost.com.au/get-help/vouchers-faq-010720/#SO-IS-THE…

What recharge vouchers will no longer be sold from 1st July?
From 1 July, $150 and $100 recharge vouchers will no longer be sold. All of our other recharges will still be available as vouchers. You can continue to recharge $150 and $100 using your credit/debit card or paypal on the Boost App, boost.com.au or #111#

    I already have a $150 or $100 voucher. Can I redeem after 1st July?
If you already have a voucher, you can still use it until it expires. The expiry date is shown on your voucher. Your 6 or 12 month recharge will commence from the day you activate the voucher on your service.

Why is the $150 and $100 vouchers being removed from sale?
To continue to be able to offer great value products we’ve had to remove these products from voucher sales. You can continue to recharge $150 and $100 using your credit/debit card or paypal on the Boost App, boost.com.au or #111#.

So is the $100 and $150 rate plan still available?
Yes! The $100 and $150 recharges are still available to any Boost Anytime Plus customers who recharge using a credit/debit card or paypal on the Boost App, boost.com.au or #111#.

  • Important Question for many Overseas Travelers

I know that international roaming will be discontinued in October.

But how about incoming SMS messages while roaming overseas?

I ask because many people use SMS based OTP (one time passwords) for two factor authentication for important logins such a ebanking, emails and myGov

NOTE: Belong does not have international roaming and I can confirm that incoming SMS was NOT available in Belong while overseas

    • Just got a text from them

      http://bst.st/ircl

Apparently won’t be able to even receive texts until they bring it back mid 2021

      • Yes that is .crazy:

Will Boost Wifi Calling work while overseas? While overseas it did not work but it may an error on my part because:
        1) even locally my iPhone only switches to Wifi Callings when the network signal is weak OR
        2) Have to manually connect to Wifi Calling by:
        a) Set my phone to Airplane mode and keep Wifi turned ON and network should be off

I did not try setting my phone to Airplane mode and keeping my phone connected to Wifi while overseas

        • +1

use WhatsApp, easy and free as long as you have an internet connection

          • @andyken: How would you receive the OTP that is sent via SMS (Banking, MyGov, Online card payments and other two factor authentication)

            • @utsc: If you have an android, you could use https://messages.google.com/web/

But you'd have to leave your phone in Australia to receive the message.

              • @Koffee: Thank you for the suggestions.

I guess we would need the phone until you board the flight and back when you arrive ( to call family / book a Uber)

  • Hi rep, got my sim and got it set up all good. Only issue is that it's showing 30gb in my Boost app and not 85gb. Do you know why this would be?

    • +1

Hi @ Pharcyde, 55GB is the bonus data and it should reflect in the App Summary. Thanks

  • now back in stock
