Looks like the seller is Becextech so I guess take that into account.

Well not much explaining to do I guess. Not a great deal but it's something.

Thank you I didn't think to check the seller. They seem a bit hit/miss with their customer service.

  • Whats wrong with becextech ? Though the deal isn't very temting, but still its a deal.

      Warranty issues.

    • From my experience with them, the processing time and shipping is quite slow as well!

Noticed Tobydeals/tecodeal have the snapdragon version for $1589/$1574…that seems sharp, probably nothing fast with shipping and again warranty if required may come into play

Still no Android fans talking about sheep because of the price … despite the fact that this is a data collection device for Google first and foremost on top of the questionable pricing.

Phones are crazy these days, a new note 9 is still the same price I paid for mine 2 years ago and how is this phone $700-$1000 better than it?

    • +1

Samsung’s flagship seemed to have skewed towards ultra-premium, essentially making their top-of-the-line phones costs $1500-$2000. And no, the law of marginal diminishing returns will most definitely tell you that it is not worth twice the phone.

      • It's sad to see but it leaves an opportunity for the next company to do what they did

It is crazy now, especially when you’ll be able to get something like the pixel 4a which offers a very good camera, good performance etc for around 1/3rd this price. It used to be a massive difference between flagships and midtier, so worth the additional costs. Also the costs difference wasn’t as huge to go for a flagship model. You often read comments in these threads about not having the best SoC etc like look at the performance difference between the 4a vs SE 2
      https://youtu.be/480_5nZJ_8A

Any SE 2020 deals will be talking up the A13 chip, so It actually surprised me I was expecting the SE to be considerably faster at everything. So seeing that it turns out performance is very similar, that advantage is argument is starting to get lost on me. Arguably the pixel 4a is faster in quite a few tasks than the SE 2020 according to those tests. Lol

And that’s because we have hit a bottleneck years ago where the performance of hardware has been more than good enough for most the tasks we perform on our phones. Going from a very good old flagship like the note 9 to the latest note won’t offer a huge upgrade like it would have been a few years back when jumping a couple of generations in tech.

  • Does anyone know if the snapdragon versions 5G work here in australia?

    • It does, on my 865 5G mi 10 Ultra on Telstra. Its blazing fast.

      • Did you have to do anything to get it to work? and do you know if you have any warranty here?

        • Lol didnt do anything at all, just popped in a Telstra sim. Nah, definitely no local warranty, the Mi 10 Ultra isn't even available outside China.

          • @NotAnAudiophile: Thanks for the info! great to know! Might consider it in the future.

      • Where did you buy from? Can you please also share how good the phone is.

        • Many resellers in HK selling the phone, but its kind of low stock even in China. Charging is insane, 10 mins and its like 35% full…..

  • Never going to buy another Samsung if they're going to be selling the weak Exynos here. Imported the new Mi 10 Ultra myself.

    • Where did you buy from? And for how much thanks.

  • +3

They are $1599 at Samsung education portal and $1759 for the 512GB

  • No exynos again.

  • Does anybody still have a spare code please?

    • spare code for?
