I was looking for a dashcam and I saw this one was discounted to around $193 in the morning, so I used 10% off in mobile app and it ended up being like $173.

I got a notification in my e-mail that it has now been discounted to $174.18 for the first 200 customers. I believe this is the cheapest it has been, also you can't use any coupons since it is already discounted.

You can buy the hardwire kit on that website too

  • $196 on ebay for local stock and no preorder with a 64gb card using PARTY21.

Was even better yesterday because they included the HWK and CPL which I picked up for $196 and will be delivered tomorrow

    • $188 from a1 electric toys. I tried to post as bargain but that store is banned

      • That's the store but it's the price I mentioned. Hhmm that price prob was the one with no sd card. Banned? They have existing expired posts here. Was a much better deal yesterday I got a few nice bonus

        • Yeah, without memory card. The one they include is 64gb normal micro sd, not the endurance. So not really suitable for dash cam

Not sure about the ban reason, might be recently

          • @djprima: It's fine for the Duo, the Pro will be better with the endurance with the higher bitrate.

They removed all the bonus last night. Made it such a good deal

            • +1

@DoesntEvenMatter: I thought bitrate would be the same? The difference is the max rewrite cycle. Also normal micro SD warranty void if you use it for dashcam

              • @djprima: True….. How does one prove it was used for a dashcam 🤭

                • @DoesntEvenMatter: By looking at the files? Not going to risk it, the last thing you want is to have a faulty card when someone bumped into you. Some people replaced their dashcam micro sd after a few years even when still working

    • Wow wish I saw that

      • Well I mentioned it on thr last viofo post from a few days ago yesterday ol

        • Was it just a separate ebay post that had the lens + HW kit included or did you have to combine all 3 items into your cart?

          • @BarginGrabber: It was a separate post. Now when I open my order it changes tk what it currently on offer without all the bonus

            • @DoesntEvenMatter: They caught up with eBay code popularity and remove the bonuses :)) I also saw that listing yesterday

              • @djprima: Na, I think they ran out of the hardwire kit and lens

                • @BarginGrabber: Yeh probably. If you are goin tk hardwire and know your fuse grab the add a fuse from them. It's tee cheapest available if the HWK doesn't come with it

      • If you haven't bought the memory card yet, the eBay seller has 256gb SanDisk endurance for a good price. Only SanDisk has that capacity, and would be good for dual channel dashcam that eats up a lot of space quickly, especially if you hardwire your dashcam to record 24 hours

        • Heard the SanDisk high endurance has a history of failing after a short period (others say its fine) whilst the Samsung Pro Endurance doesn't seem to have this issue.

          So, I bought that instead.

          • @BarginGrabber: Yes Samsung is better, but they haven't released the 256gb

            • @djprima: 128gb is honestly enough, I'm mainly using it in case I get into a crash or something interesting happens.

              • @BarginGrabber: My 256gb card only lasted 3 days of footages. I just want to have a peace of mind when I park on the street over the weekend. Also 256 have half the rewrite cycle of a 128, so likely will last longer

                • @djprima: Just get the 512GB card, unless recording at a high bitrate that requires more than a usb2.0 sequential write speed….

                  • @Zachary: There is no endurance card for 512gb last time I checked. Do you have more info?

                    • @djprima: I was referring to this 512GB card: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/sandisk-ex… and other 512GB capacity variants from other brands and models…. Also, 1TB cards exists as well apparently which I didn't know: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/sandisk-ex… and oh, even 2TB: https://www.amazon.com.au/Micro-Memory-Card-Adapter-Slot/dp/… I must be living under rock to not have notice these….

So get one of these larger capacity cards and you'll probably have a good week or two of data retention before needing to loop over the most current file….

                      • @Zachary: Ah yes, non endurance card exist. Not for endurance though, probably because there isn't a need yet. Wait until 4k quad channel cam becomes popular :D

                        • @djprima: By the time 4K quad channel cam setups become a thing, we'd have 16K or 32K cams and would be able to see every single detail of a person's face(unless they've tinted their windscreen so dark it's blocked visibility of their face on camera…) who's driving the car from 4 cars or lanes away, provided the recording is quality and not slosh to save file space….

  • Great camera but just note viofo have pretty much stopped supporting firmware upgrades. They release new ones but it pretty much breaks other things. I run mine on V1.5 with low bitrate parking mode and it's flawless.

Also the cable for the rear camera is super thick, takes a little bit extra time to get it all tucked away neatly.

    • Does the power to the main unit power the rear camera too?

      • +1

Yes, the rear is connected tk the front

  • Sigh, I order two days ago for $182 with the 10% off code.

    • If it hasn't shipped yet (Assuming you bought it from the same store), you can talk to the live chat and they'll cancel your order.

  • Missed out the bonus as I hesitated to order yesterday, I was also checking a new model A129 plus duo which has just been released. Might come at a higher price when it becomes available, it looks to support dual channel 1440p 60fps Front and 1080p rear

    • Yeh it was odd that they would release a middle one since the 4K Pro was already available. It's available now from AE, I didn't think it was worth it https://a.aliexpress.com/_mO1tNz9

      • +1

have a look at the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7eIiJJswIY for a comparison, i would say that it's better than th 4k Duo Pro in all aspects, the 1440p 60fps makes all the difference during day and night. I would say that the 4k Pro is not worth it.

      • The 4K is overkill for a dashcam, unless you have a need. My A129 1080p can read license plate fine at night, not to mention 4K files eat more space in your memory card. I'm looking forward for the Duo Plus

    • I was going to get A119 v3 but I think I will wait for A129 plus duo instead.

  • +1

    any deal on 119 v3?

    • Depends, what price were you looking to get it for?

      • below $140 with gps?donwz have ebay plus, happy to buy the ebay plus deal if any site ha it

    • $131 on ebay via ebay plus

      • thanks don't have ebay plus

        • +1

You can get it for free. Search eBay plus 50$ voucher here. Once you sign up through that link you get instant voucher so get paid a dollar for having plus

          Edit
So here is the A119 v3 with GPS for $131 and this is the voucher to pretty much get free plus

          • @DoesntEvenMatter: thanks!
do every ebay plus account get $5 voucher every month?or only for acc signed up using this voucher?

            • +1

@028: All, but can't be used on any item. There's something in the system that will randomly show the voucher when it's available to be used

  • With GST and shipping, doesn't this add up to almost $200?

    • The GST is already included in the price.

      Shipping is $1.30 for me.

For me, without the optional shipping insurance it is $175.51 and that includes GST

  • +1

Thanks! Nevermind, it seems that when you try order it from ShopBack app the price EXCLUDES GST
