This looks like good ram for a laptop. For $77 Delivered I think it is a bargain. Sorry, it is my first post.

Edit: Speed 2666 MT/s, though the reviews are saying it is only 2400 JEDEC and 2666 with XMP.

Just be careful - I ordered and returned this twice because every time they send me a 16GB kit (8GBx2) instead of the single 16GB I wanted. They have an incorrect photo in the kit configuration so I am guessing that's why the warehouse pickers would pick up the wrong one every time. Very annoying.

    • Thanks for the heads up. I hope they get it correct because I don't have enough slots and need the single stick 16GB.

  • 1 left in stock now

    • Someone must have emptied their cart, I see 3 left now.

      • Now 5 in stock, amazon algorithm must have made more available, they say 1 left first to make someone buy it and then allocate more to the site

        • I cancelled my order of two, and order one instead.

Honestly wait for a deal on Kingston HyperX Impact. They support CL15 Jedec at 2666 and above at 1.2v. The Crucial's only work at 2666 speed if you have laptop which supports XMP in BIOS.

  • Sorry but you are incorrect. XMP is Intel Xtreme Memory Profile. Majority of laptops, including Intel based ones, do not support this standard. JEDEC is a joint engineering council standards organisation. Majority of laptops support JEDEC. Your laptop may support 2666 but if doesn't support XMP, then it will default to the JEDEC 2400 standard for this Crucial RAM. Only if the Crucial RAM is JEDEC 2666 will it run at that speed on a laptop. If you actually look at the Amzon comments you will see that it defaults to 2400 and not 2666 for this RAM kit.

    " Not running at 2,666Mhz
Bought this to upgrade from 8GB to 32GB. The RAM is doing a good job so far however my low review is due to the advertizing of the product. As it is said to be running up to 2,666Mhz which is what I was looking for, I have checked after installing the RAM and it only runs 2,400Mhz (standard speed). On some laptops you are able to change the XMP profile and have them run at full speed instead of the standard 2,400 unfortunately mine is not able to do that and I end up with a 2,400Mhz 32GB kit when I was thinking I was buying a 2,666Mhz kit. The description is misleading and this is a disappointment but other than that the RAM is ok."

    • How to check what speed of ram is running at?

      • Get an application such as CPU-Z and click on the SPD tab.
