        i argued with them, but said that they wont give me the $46 price coz apparently HN has soldout

        Dick Smith also wont price match on the basis that they dont do price matches, the sales rep said.

          Yeah, I got told the same thing at the George St DSE store. The girl at the counter told me they no longer price match. So I had to walk further down to Martin Place HN to buy it.

          DSE in Melbourne wouldn't price match either. The guy looked at me and said their cost was $75, $1 less than their shelf price (!!) I have found DSE hopeless for price matching in the last year.

    Traded Infamous 2 on Ps3 for Mw3 on 360 In Ringwood Eastland and bought infamous 2 from HN chirnside park and they still had heaps of copy's left yesterday but not sure now!

        When I got to dse all the copies of infamous were not on show.
        Staff member asked if he could help. I asked for a copy of infamous 2

        He went out the back and came back with a copy and a piece of paper that said $89 take to the counter to pay. Then got out my 2 print off's staff member then called harvey norman and price matched it for me.

        Manager was not happy, looks like they took it off show.

    quite late to this party but still managed to score a pre-owned copy of infamous 2 at EB George street.

    there were 3 other guys in front of me who were frantically browsing through the games, surely looking for infamous 2. found the last copy (special edition) which was hidden at the bottom of the pile. i felt bad for them a bit.

    had a bit of an issue when I traded it in cause only std edition is registered on JBs system but got there in the end.

    Harvey Norman Garden City had stock and JB Mt Gravett accepted at 4pm. But they deffinitly knew what was going on. Doubt it will last long.

    Unfortunately I don't have a manual for one of the eligible games … Dead Island … rang Lonsdale St & they said they couldn't accept without the manual … which is fair enough …

    Wondering if there is any way around this?

    Worked perfectly at castle hill this morning. Bought inFamous 2 at Harvey Norman and walked 10 seconds down a floor to JB Hifi and traded for mw3 on 360. Thanks op!

      My 20 bucks cheaper way. Just traded in my Gears of war 3 (bought under $50 from OZgameshop)at Jbhifi. And ordered another copy of GOW 3 from ozgameshop again.

    Infamous 2:

    Long story short: JB guy told me on the phone on Tuesday evening I could swap Infamous 2 on Wednesday - "no need to bring it in tonight … no way they would pull it" on Wednesday, he said. On Wednesday (incidentally he had left their employ) JB staff said no I couldn't. This morning, after "No"s from 3 different staff and 2 hours later, the manager said they would honour their offer!

    Seemed like getting blood out of a stone … but all's well that ends well, I guess.

    NB Legally - in short - it seems they were obliged to honour that explicit offer (the terms shown on the website, which I was unaware of, do not override the verbal offer in this case). However, proving the offer may have proved difficult, especially given, coincidentally, the guy no longer works for them.
